beautiful junk:
i agree with the person above me, definately try it.
Heavier fabrics tend to look nicer for someone of your build, so maybe a corset on top?
you could cut up strips of fabric to make it look piraty on the bottom for a skirt?

Wink have fun & i hope it turns out WONDERFUL.
& i bet the boy will LOVE whatever you do!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: leggings? on: April 10, 2006 10:50:38 AM
wow, thanks! that's a great help!

does anyone know the basic cuts for pants though?
like, what shape they are.
I (assume) there is slack because i am working with leggings?
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / leggings? on: April 09, 2006 06:51:10 PM
i've never made pants before, and found THE cutest fabric for leggings! heehee! but...i don't know how to make them.  Grin

I looked for patterns in a book ( yet i was in a rush ), and I did not see any? (does anyone have a suggestion for the section?)

The lady at the counter was extremely helpful. (sarcasm) "Honey, it's probably not that hard to figure it out."

So, does anyone have any idea as of how to make 'em?

thanks everyone! the best thing about it, it cost 6 bucks to make!! =D!!
basically i sewed a tube for the top part and attacheds straps, then i sewed on the skirt like normal, folded it in half again and sewed for the bubble. I added the bow.

=D!
thanks everyone for all the lovely comments
& if you decide to make one, show me!

after the shower was over, my mom and i sat for five minutes staring blankly at the screen. Personally, ever since we had found out the final three i'd been saying, whatever as long as it is santino or daniel, i'm fine. Chloe...?! what will she do with the money?

did ANYONE else notice how EVERY SINGLE dress had cutting lines on the side of the boobs that you could clearliy seee? next time you watch the show, look, it's horrible.

santino..you can't make the judges happy  Undecided they tell you to tone it down, you do and they don't like it.  Roll Eyes

daniel, in my opinion, should have won =[ he did the very best job, had a wonderful collection, it was very complimentary and i loved almost all of it.

hehe.

but i agree with all of you when we say we will recreate some of those pieces!  Grin

10  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Is it possible to dye a backpack? on: February 19, 2006 01:08:17 PM
or bleach it?
I have one of those jansports, and mine used to be the only polka dotted one in school...well then it caught on. so is it possible to bleach it all white, then dye it? Or is there a protective covering or something that won't let it do that?

any help is appreciated greatly!  Grin
