1  Stencilled Pillowcase = Awesome Christmas Present for Boyfriend in Stenciling: Completed Projects by morningdrive on: December 24, 2005 10:26:23 PM
I go to college an hour away from home, which leaves me and my boyfriend missing each other a lot. He comes out to visit me as often as possible, and stays the night whenever he can, but when he's at home he always talks about how much he misses having me next to him [awww!]. So I came up with this idea! I took a picture of myself sleeping (or pretending to sleep... close enough), created a stencil out of it, and stenciled it onto a pillowcase. On the side, I added a Radiohead lyric which is one of the first things we talked about when we really started hanging out together. He mentioned how much he loved the line, and how someday he'd like to get it tattooed on his arm. So with the stencil of me, I guess it's kind of like I am sleeping there next to him.

Anyway, on to the pictures:

I received my cozies from gothmom on Friday of last week, but I was home for the weekend and forgot my camera at school  Tongue BUT here are the pictures!!

The first one is the cutest little pouch made out of a really soft, shiny fabric... it has a long ribbon tied to the top so i could wear it like a little purse.

The second one is my FAVORITE! It's made out of leather, and on the back there is a CHEMISTRY BEAKER stencilled on it (I am a chem major... and LOVE chemistry). It's so cute!

There's one more, but of course I forgot it at home. It's a cute little red stocking for Christmas time! I believe it even has bells on it, which is adorable. Gothmom, if you have pictures, feel free to post.

So yeah! This was fun. I'd do it again Smiley

3  Ted Leo & The Shins! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by morningdrive on: October 20, 2005 11:11:32 AM
Here are my two most recent stenciling projects... I love them! (Don't mind the gross, hairy rug... two college girls with long hair don't have time to vacuum!)

First is my Ted Leo shirt... I saw a green shirt like this in a store, but they only had men's XL, so I figured I could make my own that would fit better and cost less! Unfortuntely, I needed a few coats of white paint, and from a few washes, it has cracked, but it still looks decent:

Now my Shins shirt! The black paint is slightly sparkly (which didn't come out in the wash... yay!), and you can kind of see it in the closeup shots.

4  Lucy stencil... first time :) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by morningdrive on: January 01, 2005 04:10:53 PM
I tried my hand at stenciling yesterday after reading some of these posts... it didn't come out perfectly, but hey, it was my first time Smiley My sister and I ran all over town looking for cheap t-shirts and settled buying them at Michael's for $3.99. Anyone know where to get plain t's cheaper? Anyway, on to the pics.

The nose came out really messed up... looks like Lucy has a pig nose. Any suggestions on how to fix it?? The eye is a little crooked too, but I can live with that. It's the nose that drives me crazy.

Anyway... Happy New Year Smiley
