11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Vintage cufflink ...The Remake on: November 23, 2009 09:38:33 PM
I found a pair of fantastic cufflinks at mt local thrift/antique store.

The colors in the glass(?) is out of this world. The colors seem to move...it is a very dimensional piece.

I removed the protruding piece from the back and strung it with a sterling silver ball chain.

This is my favorite bauble!

It measures 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch.

Here are a few tiny bottle necklaces that I recently created.

They measure 7/8 inch tall and 1/2 inch wide.

Skull Powder (crushed eggshells)

Happily Ever After....somewhat inspired the movie Shrek....and a tiny potion bottle toy form the movie that my boyfriend gave me

Love Potion No. 13
A minitaure bottle filled with black glittery liquid

And...a tiny frog hugging a bottle of green glitter. Tiny charms shaped like blades of grass dangle from eash side.

13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Pixie bottle on: November 08, 2009 08:37:45 AM
This is a tiny Pixie bottle I made for my boyfriend's niece for Christmas.

Just added some glitter and star beads to the bottle and a ribbon through a letter bead and afixed with superglue. It hangs on a card I made with thick paper and stamps.
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded medicine bag on: October 05, 2009 07:52:54 AM
This is a medicine bag that I made a while back.

The bird is a graphic from Gary Jennings book Aztec Blood.

I still have yet to attach the neck strap, I am looking for something a little unique.

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first pop tab bag (with pics) on: October 05, 2009 07:43:45 AM
This is my first pop tabs purse.

Many years back (when I was in grade school) my father made belts from pop tabs.

I had forgotten all about pop tabs until recently when the idea of a pop tab purse started forming in my mind. I am an avid collector of purses and thought it would make a great addition to my others. Turns out dad had been saving tabs all these years!!

First I had to locate enough ribbon for what I had in mind. I settled on two shades of grey (pewter and silver) and alternated them in the weave.

Several years back I had made and embroidered a velvet table runner. I was not pleased with the hem and shoved it away with my fabric scraps. It worked prfectly for the lining of the bag. I am terrible with lining things but I think it turned out great.
