21  Foxy Baby Outfit in Crochet: Completed Projects by Koreena on: June 03, 2013 04:57:03 PM
I think this might be my first non-swap completed project! My great friend is pregnant and has a forest theme going... She asked for a fox baby outfit for her baby's photos- so cute, right? Anyway, I couldn't find a pattern that I loved and so made up my own Smiley

I didn't write out instructions as I worked, but will try to update with a pattern later if I make another set.

Thanks for looking!

I received two incredibly awesome sets of stitch markers from my partners Fairyhazedesigns and Ramona Q!! They both went with my 'glass' theme... I love seeing different interpretations in swaps -> Probably my favourite thing about swapping!

Gorgeous wire wrapped sea glass (ocean glass?) from the coast of BC- collected by FHD herself while hiking- Love, love, love!!

And super cute & perfectly crafted panda & blue glass bead knit markers from Miss Ramona Q Smiley

Thank you so much Ladies and big thanks again to Smeddley for organising!

See, THAT is why I was so excited to see PFD in this swap. I knew she would amaze me!

Those felt goodies are so much fun! Brie, ha!

I know, right???  Smiley

I nearly forgot to post something that I've made with the GORGEOUS yarn that Jexxican sent to me for "winning" this month!!  Check it out:

Isn't it awesome??  The pattern is "Button Up Your Cup" on Ravelry ~ Super quick, cute & easy.  This is the 2nd one that I've made so far...  the other one went to my derby wife for her birthday, so no photo.  This yarn is so beautiful, I don't even know how to describe the colour variations...  Just incredible.  I had to make something that I would use every day so that I could look at it all of the time.  Thank you again Jexx~

I'm such a complete delinquent these days  Embarrassed  Sorry for the delay in posting these amazing, lovely, incredibly beautiful jewelry pieces from pheonixfiredesigns~

First off, she sent me a necklace that I have been secretly hoping & wishing for for many months now...  The Cagefree Bird:

I put this lovely piece on immediately when I received it (2 weeks ago!!) & got about 200 compliments from co-workers in a single afternoon...  Talk about a coveted item!  Isn't it great?  The length is perfect, I can see me wearing this far, far too often  Wink

Next, she spoiled me with the most beautiful Tree of Life that I think I've ever seen!  She used a lot of beautiful natural stones and gems, all in colours that I adore:

I am always in such awe whenever I see the things that phoenixfiredesigns creates and was completely stoked when she chose to make soemthing for me in the Feb swap~  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!  So very sorry for taking a while to get these photos posted...  I have no good excuse other than I've been ridiculously busy for too long now.

Have fun in what's left of the March swap & in the April swap, ladies~  I'm going to recharge, slow down & hopefully see you in June  Grin

haha Wow! I love all of the awesome Thank You gifts that people have been sending Smiley  This has been such a great swap!

Here is my sorted out, edited post!!

I must apologize to our organizers & my partners again for taking sooooooooooooo long to post...  Has been a chaotic few weeks!  I just managed to grab a quick break & take a few pictures of the awesomeness that bookstorebabe sent my way Smiley

Here is the amazing sparkly blue crown that she made for my thank you gift Smiley

She was sweet enough to include a nice long note about the making process, which of course is at home & I can't remember all of the details.  I promise you, she put a lot of care & consideration into making it though and her effort is greatly appreciated!!  If you can believe it, this gorgeous piece began with vintage lace & leather!  My derby girls are going to be jealous when I break it out as "Queen Koreen" for the day  Wink  It actually matches my helmet...  you're either an amazing stalker, or I'm super lucky!

She also sent a wicked old school roller skate pin, but it is currently pinned to the rear-view in my car...  I will add a picture of it when I update next. So awesome!!

*I found out that my sister "borrowed" the pin while I was away last weekend... Apparently it will be perfect for the outfit she's putting together for a murder mystery dinner... Pictures soon :/

And do you ever feel like you've made out like a bandit in a swap??  I certainly did when I discovered the 2 pieces of jewelry that she was kind enough to include as 'extras' for me...  Check them out:

This picture doesn't do them justice!  I'm using my BB playbook & there's no flash...  boo me.  I had checked out bookstorebabe's etsy page & wanted to buy these from her...  she was generous enough to send them along & refuse to let me pay!  Thank you so much!!!  It's been a lot of fun swapping with you & again, sorry for the delays.

My other partner, the lovely Ms. Lillyanka, is also a huge spoiler and was a great Giver. She sent me an awsome bag FULL of yarns, hooks, needles & a Stitch n' Bitch book (!!!).  The goodies came on a road trip with me last weekend, and unfortunatly this means I won't be able to provide a complete, untouched, group shot...  There are already a couple of WIP's that I am using her goods to make  Grin  I will post photos of the spoilage either tonight (if I can) or tomorrow at the latest. Here are some photos of the awesomeness:

All of the goodies:

My WIPs (knit phone cosy from the book, made-up hand heart warmers & beginning of a crocheted cowl)

Some fun variegated yarns (perfect for my crochet club projects)

Some hemp and cotton yarns

And the hooks & book Smiley

Lastly, the thank you gift that I received from pink-josy - Love this!!! I was just saying that I needed another keyring Smiley I love happy coincidences! Look at how pretty it is Smiley

Thank you so much for your patience with me & for such a great swap experience!  I've had a great time with it Smiley Now to wait for my new friend Lillyanka to receive the thank you gift that I made for her...

Here I am, finally posting the picture of the fantastic skeleton key necklace that Tamalama sent to me...  Sorry for taking so long!

Check out this awesomeness Smiley

It has a nice, long chain (which I LOVE) and the beads are so pretty & all different...  Love this so much tamalama ~ it was definitely worth the wait for me!!  Cheers to you & thanks again Jexxican for a great swap Smiley

Carving stamps is friggin awesome  Grin  I really need to stop trying new things, because I love doing all the things!!!!  I am super excited about how the first stamp that I made for lillyanka turned out!  Now I just need to test it to make sure that the lines are as tidy as I'm hoping they are...

The second one I made... well. Not so awesome.  Have a look, see if you can spot the problem:

Ahahahahah Smiley  That's what happens when I get all confident-like after the first attempt at something goes well...  Grin
Unfortunately I had made it that far before a friend looked at it and asked about the direction of the word...  Ah well.  Do over!!!

I just realized that the photos of my November package from onyxnox didn't post either  Embarrassed  Sorry to make you wait!!!

Check out this awesome package!!

She made a perfect hand stamped metal necklace that (as you can see) has a great Tolkien quote...  I really, really love this necklace and have given it to my wandering sister Smiley  I've lived my entire life within 30 minutes of the hospital in which we were born, and she has lived in multiple provinces, countries and has travelled to many US states...  this is perfect for her & she already treasures it.  Thanks!!!
(The crochet hook/yarn stamp is mine, all mine Wink)

A close up of the other (amazing!) knitting/heart yarn stamp & the GREAT lot of stamps that will come in very, very handy for journal decorating & card making. Love them!

Thank you so much for this great package!  I love everything in it!
