11  Re: Friend of Craftster Raffle Rd 12 (SU May 9-June 6;SO June 16/14) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Koreena on: May 27, 2014 07:52:53 AM
Agreed!  Everything is looking so great so far Smiley  I really need to make a decision...  Would people prefer something knitted or crocheted, or a set of greeting cards?

This card IS NOT my creation (image from Pinterest), but is made using the 'Branch Out' set from Stampin' Up, which I think I would use if I made cards for this swap... Is my favourite one Smiley  I would make a bunch of different cards using the same stamp set.

Let me know what you think!

Love that hat!  Great colours SmileySmiley

And now, finally, here is the AMAZING package that flygirl88 sent to me last week ~ Get ready to see some gorgeous cards!

Here's the entire package that she sent, including a knit washcloth in cute colours, a knit grey yoga mat strap (!!), a zippered denim needle bag (so that I can not lose my hooks/needles when I use crocheted project bags ~ smart!), and 40+ (!!!!) cards!  Talk about an amazing lot!

Close up of the non-card items:

And close ups of all of the gorgeousness:

And my favs ~ LOVE these cards!  I received a set of them in a previous swap & use them for special people all of the time Smiley  So glad to have more!

Thank you so much Leah!  I really love everything that you have sent to me, and look forward to card swapping with you again soon Smiley

Soooooo I was spoiled ROTTEN by Puamelia   Grin  She was kind enough to angel for me for this swap, and went WAY above & beyond!!!

Look at the completely amazing package she sent!

Group shot of goodies:

Close up of the promised "something crocheted" (excuse the bad photo):

->  She made the first, larger, one and wasn't happy with the way it turned out...  She craftily dyed the white yarn with coffee, and made #2 to be sure I'd be happy...  Happy is an understatement!  I should mention the AWESOME water bottles were included... Not just the gorgeous covers!  Love these!

Next, the TWO sets of stitch markers  Cheesy  One for knitting, and one for crochet:

WOW!!  Aren't they beautiful??  I've been wanting buttony markers for a while, and have no idea how you made the curvey wire ones so perfectly Smiley

Finally(!) The "extras" ~ An adorable hand-drawn card, some chocolate, more chocolate, more chocolate, and yummy smelling coffee ~ I love coffeeeeee!!!

Thank you SO much Puamelia ~ I am thrilled that you angel-ed (sp?) and again, am humbled by your generosity  Kiss

That little owl is adorable!!  Too cute Smiley

Glad you've received the monkey Calabaza!  That didn't take too long...  was worried that it'd take ages, since I ended up sending from Canada...

This was my favourite thing to make so far this year Smiley Smiley  I have had a bunch of demands requests for duplicates from friends...  Here's another photo of him, so you can see just how teeny tiny he is:

Hope you enjoy!

I received this completely awesome set of stamps from the lovely euphemasaurus:

Aren't they great?!  She went with my 'Canadian' theme Smiley  Please don't mind the crappy photo or the sloppy way I stamped these...  Was in a hurry & just wanted to get a quick shot so as not to delay posting.

I especially love the whale tail and the waves ~ They remind me of being in British Columbia and seeing the whales swim by...  An amazing sight that I will never forget!  The funny one below the 'eh?' is a moose track, for anyone wondering Smiley  Too cute!  Thank you euphemasaurus ~ I love them!

Check out the beautiful felt bookmarks that Grab a Coffee made Smiley  They are perfect!

Love the little star!

Beautiful stitches

And my favourite one Smiley

(don't mind the cat hair... Chubbs stole these immediately.  He is apparently under the impression that anything small and felty must = cat toy...)

Thank you so much for claiming me for the swap, love these & promise to put them to good use Smiley  Cheers!

Here is the AWESOME stamp that I received from the very talented Wulf:

I love it!!  Thank you so much!  Your ability to carve into tiny spaces and make perfect shapes/letters is amazing~

To my other partners:  The person who shares my post box picked up my other packages  Undecided  I'm hoping to get them from her tomorrow so that I can see the stamps you've made!  Sorry for the delay!

20  Woven wool ~ Entrelac Cowl in Knitting: Completed Projects by Koreena on: March 09, 2014 08:58:26 AM
Hello!  I made this lovely cowl for the Friends of Craftster Raffle round 11 Swap.  Waggonswest was my 'winner' Smiley

Here are a few photos that I took before sending out:

No actions shots, sorry!

The cowl was made using a *free*pattern on the Lion Brand website ~ I can't say I followed it exactly, but also don't recall what modifications I made.  The pattern is GREAT and very easy to follow.  If you've never tried entrelac because it seems to difficult & scary... trust me, if you can knit, you can make this!

I used 3 different wool yarns from my stash (Bernat Softee Chunky, Loops & Threads Cozy Wool, and Loops & Threads Impeccable) and LOVE how these yarns worked up together.  So soft & comfy  Smiley

Hope you like it!
