1  Re: Bookmark Swap Rd 7 in The Swap Gallery by Koreena on: October 27, 2015 06:37:13 PM
Hello everyone!

I've already apologized to my partners, but also want to apologize to all of you for being a crap swapper this time!  Life has been far busier than expected over the past few months, and I apologize for dropping the ball on being active in this swap.

Anyhow, I have FINALLY received my 2nd package (delay due to moving & not being able to connect with the new tenants at my former condo, not because my partner was late!)... I'm so sorry for the delay in posting on here!

The package from Wizards_Pupil was damaged when it arrived, sadly, and only the French inspired paper bookmark was in the envelope Sad  Huge thanks for this one, partner, the paper is so pretty!  I can only imagine that the thong one she mentioned in her note was great Smiley Thank you!

I actually received from Onyxnox a while ago, but was waiting to first find my camera and then to post both at once...  SO SORRY for not posing these until now- I seriously love them Smiley  I was completely spoiled!

A group shot of the bookmarks: A knitted pompom, a wicked metal/resin one, a pretty fabric thong one AND a leather & stamped copper one~

Here are a couple of close ups of them to show the super talent of this amazing crafter!

Thank you to all of you so much for having patience with me this swap- it really has been a crazy few months.  If/when I swap with you again, I promise to be much more timely!

Cheers~

Yaay!  I'm so glad that you like it Smiley  I was largely "inspired" by a hoop on Pinterest, so I can't take all of the credit Wink  it ws fun to use different fabrics & stitches on the one... And difficult to give away my fav oval hoop haha

I've also received an amazing hoop!! QueenNinjaMonkey has some serious skills~ check this beauty out:

I actually stopped in my tracks and stared at it when I opened the package... Look at the million tiny stitches she made?!

I can't even imagine being able to make this...  Thank you so, so much!!!

3  Re: Sweat Shoppe ORNAMENT Swap Round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Koreena on: November 26, 2014 02:35:29 PM
I've received all of the ornaments from my wonderful partners now!  I will post photos tomorrow...  Thank you everyone Smiley

Changed my mind...  Here are some cell phone photos of the ornaments on our "tree" in the office (sadly, still at work... taking a quick break)

Aren't they all so adorable?  Must get a tree now...

Yowza!  I've been having the WORST time trying to get a message posted on here...  We're in the middle of moving houses & so my only "internet" is on my cell phone, which apparently does not want me making any posts or sending emails on Craftster.  Sorry for the delay!

I received two (3) beautiful ornaments from Acadian Driftwood and Amazon Warrior last week~ Love them!  They're perfectly made and are going to look awesome on our first tree in the new home Smiley

Thank you Ladies!!

I finally decided what I'm going to offer this year!  I'm going to contribute to the felty goodness, too Smiley

I will make 4 Dala horses and 4 matryoshka dolls.  I made these two cuties on the weekend (of course, they were "inspired by" ornaments I found on Pinterest):

There will be different colour combos, and the matryoshka dolls will likely have different flowers/designs, but they will be in this style.  I hope you think they're as cute as I do!  Definitely making extras for family gifts this year.

Cheers~

7  Re: Frugal Living swap-round 6: Dance on Down to Frugal Town! in The Swap Gallery by Koreena on: September 23, 2014 01:55:29 PM
Woo hoo Smiley  I'm so happy to see that you like your package Anna~ It was fun making everything for you.  The mittens are made of wool...  I'm pretty sure I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease, but am not 100% (I de-stashed, go me!).  I just grabbed woolen yarn in the colours that you commented on, so I am glad that their super-softness is an added bonus for you!  The pattern is definitely a Lion Brand (free) pattern for flip-top gloves.  I added the stripes  Wink

And now to show off the goodies that I received... My phone takes terrible photos, so I do apologize for not-great quality of these ones.  I didn't want to wait any longer to show them off though. Talk about serious talent!

The whole package:  A gorgeous (amazing, wonderful) pillow with adorable little felt birdies embroidered on, and 2 beautiful sets of handmade stitch markers:

(You can see the great postcard that Anna included for me...  she also sent me a 2nd blank one...  No way she could have known, but I'm a Post Crossing addict too, so this is a wicked bonus for me Smiley )

Here are some close ups of the stitch markers!!

(Anna - are these pearls??)

And the pillow (wow!) ~ I can only imagine how much time and effort went into creating all of these perfectly stitched birds and lines.  Thank you!

Close up of a couple of the cuties:

Thanks again to both my partner & to our wonderful organizer!  Great swap Smiley

8  Marvin the Martian in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Koreena on: September 08, 2014 11:04:08 AM
Hello!

My super sweet partner, flygirl88, from the very old "Simple/Easy Swap"... she suggested that I enter Marvin.  So here I am Smiley

This was one of the very first (if not the first) knitted toy that I made... I did google a pattern, and was lucky enough to find one... There don't seem to be any non-copy-righted Marvin doll opportunities these days!

Anyhow, he was SUPER fun to make, and I am so thankful that he went to a very good home... Check out the photos that flygirl sent to me a few weeks ago:

Hope you like him Smiley

I asked my honey to take some photos of her for me.... This is what happened haha

She has a lot of fun, as you can clearly see Smiley  Thank you again, SiakelA, for my very first poppet!

Happy 4th of July to everyone in the USA!!

I am so sorry for taking this long to post photos of the great package that I received from our lovely organizer~  I have been tooooo busy lately, and haven't been on a computer.

Without further delay!  Here it is:

Full kit:  Covered notebook, change purse & 'extra' microfiber yarn

The change purse is perfectly made with absolutely great fabric

The book is currently covering a lined journal, and I love that it's easy to remove.  Will definitely be used over and over and over and over again Smiley

Did I mention that the fabric is perfect?

Last shot:  The ball of yarn that will soon be something fabulous ~ love the colour!

Thank you AGAIN goldfishpollywog for organizing a great swap, and for sending such a lovely package to me Smiley  See you next round!
