Mostly I am going from stash, but parts of it are like 3 - 4 - 10 yard pieces, so...but I was very fortunate because I was blessed with this from a friend last month. Now set me straight, the fabric we send our partner is supposed to be at least 2 pieces and total (minimum)2 yards, so that means each piece theoritically (?) is just a yard. So that is not much to "make" something with, or not for clothing anyway. So how big are the pieces typically sent? I do mostly "crafts" so small pieces are better for my needs, but what about you all? Would you prefer 4-quarters, or 1 yard straight?
I was just wondering how everybody is coming along? I've got stuff figured out, but not cut out...and I swore I would do it today, before anything else on my to-do list, but 4 tubs of laundry (for a single person who was out of laundry soap TOO long) really convinced me I could wait, but now it's like less than 3 weeks! Anyway, hope you all are progressing, it has been pretty quiet on here since partner posting.
This sounds like fun, can someone remind me when sign ups get here? I can't wait for spring, even went out this morning and cut all the dead leaves off my clump of banana trees. What a difference! I'm so ready for warm weather and pretty flowers!!!! Of course, it seems like we have 2 weeks of spring and then right into HOT HOT summer here! LOL!!
Love it!! You made terrific "Lemonade" out of your lemon (or avacado) kitchen! And you get to enjoy your wonderful collectables. My only problem would be stre-tc-h-ing to reach the microwave! But not everyone uses theirs as much as Old-I-Cooked-All-My-Life-Now-I-Dont-Have-To! me! LOL!!!
Everytime I look at the pics of your craft room I see something different, ideas I want to borrow. I especially envy your built in shelves and furniture, and your stash of course. It is so organized. Bet you don' t ever have to go into every other room looking for where you left something! LOL!!!!
HEY PENSACOLA!!!! I'm glad to find you here on Craftster!! I would like to connect with others in the area, and maybe we could arrange a get together soon, at someone's house or a restaurant, whatever. My phone number is 850-494-9560, and I am on Facebook as Margaret Joy. Looking forward to meeting some other Craftsters. I do mostly sewing, am learning jewelry making, and interested in learning other new crafts.
Didn't Gone With the Wind (my "bible" of Southern truisms) say that Scarlett was fortunate she didn't have to sew rows of ruffles in her chemise to fill out her bust on her dress or corset? Although I think her corset was under the bust, if I remember that lacing scene correctly. Anyway, you made a very nice corset. I wish I was young and slim enough to wear one, but maybe I could, I guess Miss Pittypat wore one. Naw, I'm thankful styles have changed. Had a long line bra once back in the 60's and it was uncomfortable enough, just elastic. lol!!!
