1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / question about making a puppet on: October 31, 2006 12:44:11 PM
I Want to make a hand puppet knitted for a gift, I would like it to have the open mouth like ones made out of socks in the old days, this I want to knit from scratch. My question is, would it be best to make a mitten without a thumb or go with a sock pattern and separate the two sections and adding the mouth somehow instead of sewing together at the end? Any suggestions would be appreciated, I am a big one for hand made gifts and want to make these for some kids, I want them personal and original. Thanks
