71  Bottle cap purse, belt and hat in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lacey0828 on: April 16, 2010 01:39:40 PM
I made these for my niece this last Christmas. She loves pink and black and is definantly a little girl not a tomboy like her sister. I got the purse, hat, and belt all at the Goodwill store for really cheap. Then I took bottle caps and painted some and modpodged scrapbook paper onto others, trying to stay within the color theme. I drilled 2 holes in each cap and strung through fishing line, then strung that through each thing. I wanted to do more on the purse, but the material wasn't making it easy to do. Regardless, I think it still turned out pretty well.

72  Soft Baby Blocks in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by lacey0828 on: April 16, 2010 01:29:13 PM
I made these for my 6 month old nephew. I hand sewed each block since I can't sew. Each block had one letter of his name so when built it spells the whole name out. I think he likes them. My sister is happy since they are just made out of fabric she can easily throw them in the wash when she needs too.

73  Sock monkeys in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by lacey0828 on: April 16, 2010 01:26:03 PM
These are sock monkeys I made for my 1 1/2 yr old niece. Because she is still so young and she has a younger brother, I decided to use pieces of sock for the eyes rather than using buttons that could fall off. I don't really know how to sew, so I hand stitched the entire thing. She absolutly loved them and I think they turned out pretty well for my first time. I personally think they're one of those things that are just so ugly they're cute  Grin

74  I did it, I actually painted something! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by lacey0828 on: April 16, 2010 01:24:05 PM
can't believe I actually painted a picture and it turned out well too! I'm so not the artist. I painted this on canvas with acrylic paints. I traced the eagle (since I can't draw, I'm usally not much of a tracer either, so I was really happy with it) and blended purples and blues for the sky. I had one of those American flags lying around the house so I was able to use mod podge to stick it on there. On the back of the canvas I glued a piece of fabric and stuck a music box piece in there so it can play "God Bless America". My husband being very patriotic just loved it.

75  Clocks in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by lacey0828 on: April 16, 2010 01:20:07 PM
For Christmas I decided to make my Dad a clock for his new business. I included his business card on it and used his colors. My husband loved it so much that he made me make his mom and 2 brothers clocks for Christmas as well. I just used what they love most. I actually really enjoyed making them and they didn't take long at all. The hardest part was getting the clock piece to fit correctly. I'm not a fan of Star Trek at all, but it turns out that's my favorite one.

76  Handprint Family Tree in Completed Projects by lacey0828 on: September 27, 2009 03:57:14 PM
When trying to figure out what I want to make for my sister this year since she just had her 5th and final baby, I did some searching here. I was inspired by http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=208019.0 which is a great idea, but I didn't want to do a tree skirt since I didn't want to have to keep it up every year. But, however it did let my creative juices start flowing and this is what I came up with. I'm really pleased how it turned out, please let me know what you honestly think. Wonder Under is my new love Cheesy
