We just got back from Disney. I learned I'm extremely happy I don't work there anymore, but it was nice to go back after 12 years. Florida weather is absolutly beautiful. It was 90's (sometimes high 80's), and near 100% humidity. It sounds horrible, but coming from 110+ degrees and 30% humidity is was fantastic. It's good to remember what it's like to be able to be outside all day, you can't be outside for more than 5 minutes in the summer in AZ. Just like it has done forever, it rained just about everyday right around 3pm, I absolutly loved the gloominess!!! Anyways, Pamela had a great time. Here are just a couple pictures from the trip.

She even got a pin because it was her first visit. They don't always write the names on these pins, but we requested. Ok, so the cast member thought my name was Pamela, but that's besides the point Smiley

I received a fabulous birthday present from ChameleonHound!

Everything all together. I love that it was wrapped up in the comics.

The awesome card with beautiful leaves.

The extras: Maple treats, a couple dog rawhides (notice they are not in the package anymore), and a film reel which I really love and really wanted. I need to figure out where to get them. Where do you get them from ChameleonHound? This one is the absolute perfect size!

A beautiful turtle hoopla. I absolutly love it, it's so neat! A combo of water colors and crayon shading was used.

An awesome tshirt. This has definantly become my most favorite shirt I own. It's so cool

Thank you so much for making my birthday amazing!!!

13  Re: Verb Swap 2 Gallery! (Send by August 17) in The Swap Gallery by lacey0828 on: August 22, 2011 08:01:07 PM
I received an amazing package from Whistley today!!!!

My Verb was Sleep!

First off, a great bookmark, some lovely bath and body works bath salts called Sleep and a really pretty owl sign that I can't wait to hang up in my bedroom Smiley The bookmark says "I Love Sleep. My Life has a tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know? - Ernest Hemingway"

A fabulous quillow. The pocket at the bottom you can put your feet in and when not in use it fold up into a pillow. Luckily she provided directions on how to get it back in, so I'll be attempting that soon. I really love the colors and it's really soft!

Next is A. Log (Albert Lester O. Goodsleep). He's absolutly priceless! I just have to share what the letter says about him (it's a little long).
Hi! I am Albert Lester O. Goodsleep (My friends call me A. Log). People aspire to sleep like me. I'm here to help you achieve just that. You can keep me on a shelf to be your sleep example or you can cuddle with me. (I am a good snuggler). If you have troubles, worries or problems that you just need to "sleep on" Let me do that for you. Write down your trouble, stick it in my pocket and let me sleep on it. I'll do the worry for you so you can sleep soundly. Here's to many good sleeps! -A. Log
I LOVE IT!!!! He has a pocket in the back so I can put my troubles in there.

Thank you Whistley for a fantastic swap! I'll definantly be able to sleep better now (like a log!)  Grin

Decided to do a spur of the moment trip on Saturday to Sedona. It was 1pm and figured, why not go, I was bored. Here's just a couple pictures of the trip. It was so nice to escape the heat for a few hours, even though it took 3 hours there and 3 hours home. Sedona has to be my favorite place in all of Arizona. It's just so peaceful and beautiful there.

Looking at the mountains across the street.

Looking at Snoopy mountain. Unfortunantly Snoopy looks really small in the picture, so it's a little hard to tell. It's just to the right of the big mountain.

Only 10 more days until vacation and boy do we need it!!! It's so busy at work and overtime is mandatory. I think my next day off will be the day we leave, but at least we have something to look forward to!

Haven't posted pictures in a while, here's a little taste of Pamela.

Staying cool in the AZ summer heat

Playing in the park

She's helping me trim the bushes. We went out at 7:30pm, but it was still about 105 degrees out there. We worked fast and were out there for about 45 minutes.

Playing in the mall

Enjoying a beautiful Arizona sunset.

I received!!!!! After the post office lost the first package, whileitsraining, sent me another one out. It's fabulous! Thank you so so much Smiley

Extras:An iron on transfer, pencils (which I'm thrilled has a sharpener with it, felt owl. Also included a really cute plush owl and an owl pillow. That pillow is made up of many many sequins. I'm impressed. There's no way I would have the patience with that!

Next up is this great tshirt which will get tons of wear. Also a thread catcher which I'm really thrilled with, I needed one so bad.

Thank you so much whileitsraining!!! I appreciate this package so much. I really hope you post pictures of the first package that you sent so we can all see it.

It's been a bit of a quiet week again, but today I'm going to figure out some fun things to do, I never realized how much we stay indoors in the summer in Arizona. We are trying to find out when to head north for the day to escape the heat. But.....I finally have my something magical picture!!!! This week Pamela's park hopper ticket came in for WDW!!!! She is ready to go, I have to keep reminding her that it's still 6 weeks away though  Undecided. There's not much more magical than Walt Disney World right?

Also, here's one of the pictures from work. Pamela did so good that day that she was presented with the Thumbs Up Award  Grin

PACKAGE #2
Sorry, very picture heavy.

I received from Casey1201 the other day!!!! She sent such great stuff Smiley
Bacon strips for the dogs, a car magnet that says "My best friend chases squirrels", however I'm tempted to cross out squirrels and replacing it with lizards Smiley, a nice piece of fabric, cocktail kit which includes fun umbrellas what a great excuse to actually throw the party that I've been wanting to, a nice bracelet, and a fabulous tree of life pendant.

Also, a dish towel and fabric button letter

Yep, not it yet, a great apron. I would've never thought to put those fabrics together, but they look so great altogether

And...a mini art quilt. I'm originally from Chicago so I definantly cheer on the Bears and my husband is from Philly so he likes the Eagles and totally turned me into an Eagles fan. So most items we have are Eagles, it is awesome to finally have some orange and blue hanging up.
And here it is hanging next to Eagles.

This is what I sent her
A California pillow with the heart in San Diego inspired from her wists.

Along with a ruffle skirt with a matching ruffled purse with a fabric flower clip. (unfortunantly this is the best picture I have)
