1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Care Bear Stare! on: November 08, 2009 01:04:06 PM
I made this for my daughter.  I was going back and forth on costume ideas for her for Halloween.  She ended up being Coraline but she wanted to dress up today to play Smiley  I just bought a sweatsuit set from walmart and hotglued Love A Lot Bear's symbol on the belly.  Then I bought a pink knit cap and made some felt ears and sewed those to the hat.  Then I glued a little heart on the bum Smiley

Great costumes!  My daughter and I were also Coraline and Other Mother.  I posted our pics on this board as well.  I like how you went with the dress and the star sweater.  I wanted to do the dress as well but I am 30 weeks preggo and don't make maternity clothes..lol..

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Coraline and Other Mother on: November 01, 2009 08:33:16 AM
My daughter and I were Coraline and Other Mother last night for Halloween.  I couldn't find a yellow rain jacket for my little girl so I bought a yellow poncho from Walmart and altered it.  I also made her a Coraline doll with TONS of help from sushiluvzombie.  She helped me every step of the way on that one.  Then I made myself a rooster oven mitt.  I just bought pre quilted fabric and traced out a mitt I already had, then hotglued all the rooster felt pieces on.  I wanted to spirit gum buttons on my eyes but I have really long lashes so I just painted them on.
