1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: philly flyers bookmark? on: December 15, 2008 09:43:34 PM
I'm not sure if this will work but I was thinking of
*doing the orange and white circles and doing the partial black circle
*crocheting/chaining along the green line (see photo shopped picture)
*then try to figure out the wing bits as a i go, in lines (horizontal green lines in pic)
*outline in white
*sew a white line on (under the green line)

think it'll work?
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / philly flyers bookmark? on: December 15, 2008 09:33:28 PM
I wanted to make my uncle a philly flyers bookmark for christmas, but i'm not sure how to go about it. I want it to be freestanding (ie not like square shaped).
The rest of my plan is to give it an orange tail and a little black hockey puck on the end.

This is what their logo looks like

Any ideas? I only need help with the logo part.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: crocheted foamy? on: December 01, 2006 04:00:20 AM
Smiley that would be great

just curious, did you watch any of the foamy videos?
i didnt link to them before but you could have gotten to them threw the shirts link

heres a link directly to the videos
http://www.friendsoffoamy.com/index.php?id=302
warning he curses and can be rather rude
i reccomend "5 more minutes" and "Amityville Toaster"
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: crocheted foamy? on: November 26, 2006 08:14:24 PM
no i didnt make him yet, i dont even have the yarn

http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mite/diagram/crochetedCat.html
thats basically what the last link had in it

for the fingers i was considering
-pipe cleaners
-sewing the fingers in place

but pipe cleaners would probably be better because his mom wouldnt like foamy flipping people off...so he could change it around her
(by the way hes 18)
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crocheted foamy? on: November 21, 2006 10:10:27 PM
my friend is obsessed with foamy and id like to make him a foamy for christmas, foamy is a squirrel but a cats head would probably work

any size is fine but id prefer if it wasent too big

i know im most likely going to end up takeing bits and pieces from various patterns so even if you can only make a suggestion for 1 body part it'll help

hes rather rude so dont click if you're bothered by stuff like that
http://www.illwillpress.com/bisc.html (t-shirt... shows his full body)
http://www.illwillpress.com/shop.html (more shirts)

im thinking of useing that head and maybe the body (made a bit shorter though)
and of course i'll change the face...do you think that will work?

i havent figured out how im gonna do the arms, legs, and tail yet
...my friend and i have a sick sense of humor so i plan to give him fingers so he could make um "gestures"...

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: iPod Cozies on: August 21, 2006 08:49:14 PM
of course, knitted cozies are ok, but isnt it kind of a hassle to put it in and take out all the time?

personally i do not know the needs of an ipod user because i dont have one. ^^;
i have an ipod and a crocheted cozy... i really like it
it keeps it safe in my bag and i typically leave it set to a playlist/cd
