1  Bunches of girls dresses (pic heavy) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by aceybaby on: December 10, 2013 04:41:39 PM
Hey! SO I've been pretty busy lately drafting patterns and sewing dresses. So here is the outcome I have so far.

Hope you like them and let me know what you think!

2  Slave Leia costume (pic heavy) in Costumes: Completed Projects by aceybaby on: November 01, 2013 01:15:50 PM
So I made this costume because I've been dying to cosplay as her for a while and just never had the confidence to go for it until now. So I just draped everything and went from there. There is a lot of hand sewing done here for the details. I want to wear it the next convention I go to, though I might only wear it for a little while because I'm terrified of possible wardrobe malfunctions.

I also made a little jabba bag to carry around with me so I can have my cell phone and meds on me at all times. his mouth opens a little extra to one side just because I knew I'd end up needing a big opening in the bag to stuff whatever in it.

face details:

So what do you think? Did I do a decent job? Also, I started this costume on wednesday of this week, finished it on thursday and today is friday and I made the Jabba bag today. So considering that time frame, I think I did a pretty decent job.

3  Sister's homecoming dress. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by aceybaby on: October 18, 2013 03:17:21 PM
So about a week and a half ago, my sister decided she wanted me to make her a dress for her homecoming dance... The dance is tonight. So I took her measurements and had her find a dress she liked online so I could make her one. She picked a short poofy one with the midsection exposed and told me what she wanted changed on it and what she wanted to keep. I said alright and got to work on making the pattern.
There were a lot of twerks that needed working out: from having to take it in at the waist, to have to add more fabric to the back so it covered a little more, to adding in some boning. But all in all I think it came out very nicely.
Here's the dress hanging up:

And here's the dress on her:

So what do you think? Cheesy
