311  Re: help for the girl who was "never getting married" ? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by teapotdnky on: March 18, 2006 06:56:29 PM
This is a cheesecake wedding cake from the cake bible. It has been covered with buttercream frosting. I have made it at home and turns out lovely and tastes great!

These are mostly duct tape. The flower one is using 3 fake roses too.

I used the stems of the flowers for the handle.

I bought a few really cheap records at Half Price Books and the 50th anniversary edition of Playboy. They had redone the original photos of Marilyn Monroe digitally and reprinted them. I took her centerfold and used it for the record purse. The other purse is made from the insert that they made of all the past covers and the centerfolds. The covers were printed on one side of the page and the centerfolds were printed on the other side. I decided to do the covers on the outside of the purse that way I could carry it more often and not worry too much about being to lewd.  Wink

314  My Murder Mystery Party in Party Planning by teapotdnky on: March 15, 2006 05:34:10 PM
My husband and I had a joint birthday party at Dave and Buster's. When everybody showed up we all got "identities" for the night. The identities were printed on sticker paper so we could wear them for the night. An example of the identity that may have been given out would be a picture of a man (say his name is john), with different accesories on/near him. He may have a hanky, cufflinks, cigar, cell phone, a strand of hair at the "scene". All the characters had five clues each, some were women (earrings, lipstick...) most of them had the same clues like the cell phones and money. When the identities were all handed out, we drew cards to see who the killer was. The killer had 10 minutes while we all split up to "kill" one of us. He/she had to take a clue out of a small bag we were all carrying and hand it to the unfortunate dead person. Whoever died had to wear the sticker for the whole game and we would meet every ten minutes to see who was dead. We played five rounds, with plenty of beer between killings. All the people still alive at the end of the game got dessert if they guessed the killer right.

My mom was the first to die.

Next to die.

Last to die.

Last clue.

honored guests. Also the reason there aren't more pictures of the process, most of the pictures later on in the night didn't make any sense.  Wink

315  Mmm...Pie Why is it on fire? in Completed Projects by teapotdnky on: March 15, 2006 04:43:16 PM
I made this pie candle using wicks, regular clear wax, a yellow color cake, beeswax sheets, lemon and vanilla scent, a hair dryer, a hand mixer and a cheese grater. Oh, and a pie tin.

CLose up of the leaves and pretty sequins and stuff. I love how you can look at this all day and still se something new.

back of a craft bag I stenciled for her. She loves pussywillows.

front of the bag. I like the back better.

window clings. I'm really proud of these cause I've never tried it before.

A Giving Tree I made with polymer clay. He looks surprised at this angle.

crappy pic of the leaves made with a leaf cane. All the leaves say encouraging things for bad days.
