131  Re: Ongoing Wish swap GALLERY Round 61 in The Swap Gallery by craftaddiction on: August 05, 2010 04:56:00 PM
I received an excellent package from fishstix43. She claimed me for iron on transfer paper and large crochet hooks. Just those items would have been great, but she went above and beyond. In addition to the iron on transfer paper, she sent 3 large hooks in the exact sizes I needed. I've already started using one. She obviously stalked my wist as she also sent a disappearing ink pen I had in my wist (which I just used for a project). She also sent pink sugar and cream cotton yarn. I needed cotton yarn and pink is my favorite color, so it was well received (the mature way for saying I squealed like a 6 year old).

I wasn't the only one she spoiled. She sent my dog, Sissy, 3 toys and treats. The first item I pulled out was the green braided toy. I wasn't sure if sissy would like it, as she never used that kind before. I didn't need to worry. The second I got it out of the box, she ran over and started jumping in the air. I don't know how she knew it was for her, but she knew and she had to have it. She didn't even let me unpack the rest of the box  Cheesy She loves all 3 toys (been playing with them all day) and the treats. And I love the toys since they look like she won't be able to destroy them  Wink Most toys she has ripped apart about 3 minutes after I give them to her.

fishstix43, Thank you sooooo much for this excellent package!!!!!!

I've received both of my kits (1 yesterday, 1 today). They are both excellent. I am so excited to get started.

First I received a resin kit from rylnn. These is so much stuff here. I can't wait until I have time to get started.

Today I woke up to a package from sugaree, a knitting kit. I've been wanting to learn knitting for a long time, so this is perfect.

Thanks so much ladies!

First off, I received from our glorious leader GatorWrangler. I don't usually wear necklaces, but when I saw this one, I had to try for it. I love it, especially the color.

My other package is from icebyrd67.  I've been wanting a tread catcher for a while, so not only is it great looking, it isvery useful.

I just received 2 perfect reversible headbands from starmumplus. I love the patterns.

a Zipper brooch from katara:

135  Re: Cupcake Swap Round 2 *ding ding* in The Swap Gallery by craftaddiction on: June 23, 2010 09:45:19 AM
I just received from dannispring240 and I am in love. She sent a perfect package. She knows I live in the middle of nowhere and I take my crochet were ever I go. So she sent a package based on the theme, crocheting on the go. Everything was very thoughtful.

First is my new WIP bag, so I can take my crochet with me. I squealed when I saw it.  Grin This was in my wist. She improved it by adding 2 pockets inside and padding the bottom. It couldn't be more perfect. What could be better than a pink cupcake bag?

She also sent a matching hook roll. It even has a little zipper section, which will be perfect for stitch markers.

I can't believe how much she sent. She sent the cutesiest cupcake toppers and a cupcake notepad which is adorable and useful. There are also cupcake papers, a door hanger for when I go out, and 2 magnetic lists. One is a week planner and the other I'll be using as my craft supply list. Our local craft store is not that 'local'. It takes about 30 minutes to get there. So I like to write down everything I need so I don't forget things. This list will be perfect, as my mini fridge sits right next to me. I've tried just using paper, but I always loose them. My desk is piled up to the monitor with crafts and papers.

Ok, I admit I have an addiction. I love yarn. The selection is very limited here. She sent 5 skeins of yarn. The festival yarn is so soft and I can't get it here. I love it. I keep coming up with projects I can make from it. I tried to get my boyfriend to come over and pet it. For some reason he gave me a funny look  Grin The other 2 are fun fur. It is going to be great for fringe. I can't get these colors here either. The store only carries white and... well.... I'll be nice and call it brown.  Cheesy

I've never had such pretty stitch markers. These are going right into my WIP bag.

I couldn't be more happy. And everything couldn't be more perfect. We are leaving for a trip in a few days. We were just talking about how I will need a new bag as my current one is way too small. Now I am all set. I'll pack the hook roll later today and I'll be ready to go.  Thank you dannispring240!!!!

I received a great set from Michela. The picture doesn't do them justice, but it is the best I could get.

137  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 23 (Signups til June 12, sendout by July 5) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by craftaddiction on: June 10, 2010 11:07:30 AM
I'm offering skinny scarves. 3 are made with one pattern (2 in cranberry and 1 pink), the other 2 are made with another pattern (in gray and lilac). The 3 all look the same since I used the same type/maker of yarn. The other two look different from each other since I used very different yarns. I made the gray one much shorter for people who don't like long scarves.

I received 2 packages Saturday and 1 today, so here they are:

I received this package from kitschkween. There is a bunch of freezer paper and yarn. I love the yarn. I live in a very small town so it is hard to get supplies. They don't sell any of these yarns locally. My mind automatically went to work on the items I can make.

Next up is the package from lindyv321. Everything is just too perfect. There are tons of different types of yarns to try. I'm so excited as I've never worked with any of these kinds before. She knew I wanted to try stencils, so she sent freezer paper and some stencils. The last item is a knifty knitter. I couldn't be more excited. I wanted to try them out without having to pay a bunch of money for yet another craft I may have no talent for. I'm so excited to get started.

The last package is from phoenixfiredesigns. She saw in my wist that I wanted to do crackle painting, so she sent me all the supplies I'll need to get started. She even sent me the same colors from the tutorial I had in my wist.

All the packages I received are so wonderful. I couldn't be more excited.

Since I'm posting anyways, here is the package I sent to frosty772. I don't think she has posted a pic yet, so I'll save her some time Smiley

I sent her a Spiderman blanket (from her wist) and a scarf. I started the blanket using different colors. It didn't look right, so I started over with new colors. Instead of throwing the first one away, I finished the webbing and I included it as a mini blanket. Here is the mini:

I received the cutest package from ohiodiygirl. There is a knight that fits the medieval theme of our front room (which my bf claimed right away).  A cupcake (yum) and a Chocobo from my favorite video game. Everything is so perfect. Thanks so much ohiodiygirl.
