2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Crocheted Poppet *FREE Pattern Attached* Error free now I hope on: September 13, 2011 03:14:16 PM
ASSIMILATE - ASSIMILATE. Why you ask, well that is quite simple, I have been assimilated like many others have been. Poppetering has now got a hold of me.
BUT !!! not in the same way as all the others, reason being, I can NOT sew. Sewing machines, pins, needles etc are all manipulated by poltergeist and out to get me, so I stay clear of them. Now you are probably wondering, how it is I can now be a Poppeteer.
Well for people who can not sew, I have created a Crocheted Version of the ever wonderful ghilie Poppet. Mine is not as beautiful as ghilies, but it was the only way I could make one and my heart and soul went into it. I have never created a pattern of any kind before and can barely follow basic patterns.
sewhappysue was kind enough to test her for me and point out places that needed twinking, which she gave me some modifications for her.
Now that the Birthday Girl {ClonedBravo} has received her I can post some pictures of her, comments and criticism are welcome.

The Pattern is free.

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / *** POPPETS *** on: March 31, 2011 05:04:57 PM
Hi Everyone,
I just want to say, that I am overawed, at all the wonderful and glorious Poppets that I have seen made. They are all unique and beautiful. The details are amazing as well. I can't sew to save my life, so I think I need to sneak through my computer to yours, then into your houses, so I can gather them all up. Then I will have a wonderful Poppet family. Once again, they are marvellous.
