1  Re: Crocheted Poppet*(FREE Pattern Attached)*(probably pic heavy - sorry)* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by NyteFyre on: September 16, 2011 08:53:27 PM
OK, I have realised that in the pattern I have not said anything about the jointing. It is jointed the same way as ghilies are.
I do not know what ClonedBravo called her but I call her Poppy Poppet, since I made her I have worked out a way to make her nose more defined.

2  Crocheted Poppet *FREE Pattern Attached* Error free now I hope in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by NyteFyre on: September 13, 2011 03:14:16 PM
ASSIMILATE - ASSIMILATE. Why you ask, well that is quite simple, I have been assimilated like many others have been. Poppetering has now got a hold of me.
BUT !!! not in the same way as all the others, reason being, I can NOT sew. Sewing machines, pins, needles etc are all manipulated by poltergeist and out to get me, so I stay clear of them. Now you are probably wondering, how it is I can now be a Poppeteer.
Well for people who can not sew, I have created a Crocheted Version of the ever wonderful ghilie Poppet. Mine is not as beautiful as ghilies, but it was the only way I could make one and my heart and soul went into it. I have never created a pattern of any kind before and can barely follow basic patterns.
sewhappysue was kind enough to test her for me and point out places that needed twinking, which she gave me some modifications for her.
Now that the Birthday Girl {ClonedBravo} has received her I can post some pictures of her, comments and criticism are welcome.

The Pattern is free.
