1  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 6!!!! in The Swap Gallery by CraftCrazy13 on: December 20, 2010 08:45:20 PM
I received this morning from thenorm02, and after sorting through the 257 pictures that I took of my FANTASTIC package, I am posting! (I cut down as much as I could, but there are still an even baker's dozen of pictures in here. Consider yourself forewarned.)

First, my absolutely amazing stocking! I like a lot of random things, and Norma did so well in capturing some of my loves! Dumbledore, Frankenfurter, rainbows, St. Patrick's Day, sparkles, Santa and skulls! Grin

I love it so much! Not pictured, skiing frog fabric lining! TOTALLY AWESOME! Next, in no particular order, are my stuffers. I ripped into the presents so fast that I couldn't tell you which I opened first or last!

Norma made me "Meg's Personal Puzzle" with a bunch of my favorite things! It was a little bit of a challenge to put it together, because none of the pictures went past the single piece, but I eventually got it all together! My favorite piece might be...no, I can't pick one favorite! Cheesy

ZOMBIE BEAR!!!! Right off my Wist; he is just TOTALLY AWESOME! He is so soft and cuddly, but his arm and guts come out! I absolutely love his puffy snout, and the big scar down his back!

Next, to keep my head warm in this brisk Midwestern winter, is a FRANKENSTEIN HAT! Tongue It's a little snug, but there is no way that I'm going to let anyone but me wear it!

Inspired by a button from my Wist, a "Spock is Sexy" Tee! Because, let's face it...he IS! (Leonard Nimoy more than Zachary Quinto. Kiss)

Combining my love of Christmas and Halloween, my partner made me...A ZOMBIE SANTA! I love every detail of it so much! She even painted the embroidery hoop to match with red glitter!

Okay, I think that I lied. I do in fact remember what the first thing I opened was because I was expecting it. I asked Norma for a Snuggie, because I can't craft when I'm huddled under my comforter. So, FIRST...I opened my Snuggie. I saw green, and was like "Yay! Green! I love green!" But then, I opened it up and saw...

SNAKESNAKESNAKE!!! IT'S A SLYTHERIN SNUGGIE!!!!

Like I already told my partner: I'm gonna make sure that I turn the air conditioning on freezing in the summer so that I can use it all year round! Sorry no action shot at the moment, but it is HUGE! Grin

My partner also sent me a gigantic stack of cotton fabric, because I've been trying my best to build up my stash! Grin

She also sent me so many storebought items that I was just overwhelmed! I asked for a lint brush, and was granted one, along with a whole lot of sweeties and little erasers! I also got a tiny little Santa cross-stitch pattern, and some lotion! Finally, on my wish list, I put the color numbers of every color of floss that I needed for a pattern that I have been wanting to do for a while, and thenorm02 bought me not only EVERY SINGLE ONE, but fabric too! Shocked

I had a fantastic time in this swap, and there is so much that I will treasure forever! Thank you so much Norma! Kiss Kiss Kiss

Okay, I was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off in who I thought was stalking me! If you were a real stalker, tonistagg, I'd be good and murdered right now. My package is fantastic!!!!!!!

Every day after school for the past week, the first words out of my mouth were "Did I get a package?" I was at the bank all morning, and when I got home, I opened my door to a...PACKAGE!

I got a glazed mug with the breakdown of caffeine on it. I LOVE big mugs in all different shapes! This was from my Wist, and don't be crazy, it turned out fantastically!

I also got some Star Trek-inspired stitch markers from my Wist, that spell out "Damn it Jim I'm a Doctor"! They are awesome, and I will be using them as soon as possible!

I also got a fantastic pouch that I can put all of my stitch markers in! I am always green with envy when I see the sewing machine skills of others, because my machine has threatened to commit seppuku rather than live with the dishonor of seeing the pathetic rags that I produce with it.

And what is this??? A FUGLY BUNNY PINCUSHION!!! No, seriously, that's what it's called! And right off my Wist, too.

I also got three charms made from Scrabble tiles. They are so cool, how did you make them? My very favorite is the one on the left.

Aaaaaaaand...a Page 18 Elefante in red white and blue just like I requested! My little sister has already been carrying him around by the ear all afternoon!

Here is a group shot. tonistagg also sent me a roll of Aida fabric. I can never have too much!

Thank you so much, Toni! I love everything so much!

Inside the pouch were two rare wizard trading cards, Percy ( Kiss) and Luna!

I also got some Muggle every flavor beans...(their idea of "every flavor" is really pathetic, BTW Wink).

I received my very first swap package from Lollipop67 today! I will fill everyone in with a little background. So I was sitting in Calculus class this morning at 8:00, thinking to myself, maybe my package will get here today, and lo and behold, when I got home three hours later, there was a GINORMOUS package with my name on it sitting on my bed!

Now, you have to understand that I pride myself for my maturity and my control in every situation, but as soon as I saw that box, all semblance of got stomped down in my dust as I ran to get my camera and scissors to open the box. My first instinct was shame over my meager package, as the box was full to t  he brim of absolutely FABULOUS and FANTASTIC and SUPER-FREAKIN-AWESOME CRAP!!! (Keri, forgive my use of the word. I in no way think any of it is crap, it was merely due to my control wavering from writing about your absolutely incredible swap goodies!)

Here is a picture of all of the packages. Believe me when I say that it took every ounce of control in the world to take this picture of them with the wrappings on!

They were numbered, so I had to open them in order. First--and I am literally shaking as I write this--there is a recipe book for me to keep all of my baking recipes in, covered in CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE FABRIC! And leather studded trim? All of the other bakers I know will be knocked over by the sheer badassness of my awesome binder for all of my recipes! I love the wooden button, I love the fabric, I love the pocket in front, and I LOVE that you put a recipe in there for me! (Mini Cookie Cups, mmmmmmm!)

Next, I absolutely terrorized the tissue paper as I ripped into a...&%*)#%$#2@!!!!!!!! It is a black and white striped laptop case for my precious Mac!!!

And just when I thought it was too fantastic to be real, I saw the buttons. THEY ARE FREAKIN' DRAGONS!!!!!!! I tried unsuccessfully for 20 minutes to get a picture that would do them justice, so here is a blurry one.

It is a good thing that I managed to calm down a little bit before opening my THIRD package, because out came an etched pitcher, a goblet, and a tumbler, all from my Wist! (I am actually drinking out of the tumbler right now, and I am using the pitcher for dinner tonight!) The pitcher has a peace says "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace", the goblet has my name and stripes on it, and the tumbler has a peace sign on it!

AAAAAAAND a package of goodies!!! She sent a HUGE bag of cookies that are absolutely frakin' delicious (yes, they DO have peanut butter cups in the middle), and...wait for it...this is, I think so utterly fantastic that words cannot describe the  scream that I let out when I saw it...

A STAR TREK COMMAND PIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! It came wrapped alongside a Dr. Frankenfurter pin from Rocky Horror Picture Show! Seriously, Keri? Star Trek AND Rocky Horror? You are the BEST!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! You should totally keep swapping, because you are the ABSOLUTE BEST partner I could ever have wished upon a star for!

*Passes out over the sheer awesomeness of all of my magnificent loot*.
