11  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Crappy closet, to slightly less crappy closet on: September 07, 2009 10:39:22 AM
Well I started with something specific in mind, messed it up, and this is kind of what I salvaged from it.. The pics aren't from when it was exactly finished, I painted a few more things in, but I still don't love it... but I kinda like it. and from what it was when we found it near a dumpster it's not horrible!

12  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ugly but free Vanity to this thing on: September 06, 2009 12:39:11 PM
I got this ugly but cool vanity when a friend was moving and painted it with two cans of spray paint and a lot of masking tape. Also the chair, though it's still missing an arm, but free furniture is free furniture and I'll be leaving the country in 6 months or so anyway.

This is my first attempt at a project and since I've redone most of my house (all with a sewing machine and stuff we had or found) and am finishing a dresser next... c:)

13  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Blowing up B&W image to silluette on a table top??? on: September 06, 2009 12:31:18 PM
I love a black and white image from the Israeli artist Lillien and I wanted to some how print it out, then blow it up big enough to create some sort of stencil so I can spray paint it on to a coffee table top... Any ideas on how to do that?  Maybe the whole shining a light through the pic and tracing it on paper on the wall? Anything more precise?  Any help would be appreciated! Smiley
