Simply display it!  My dad collects vintage cameras and they make great decorations on our bookshelves and mantles and the like.

wow, that's actually a huge inspiration!!  it's simple but i really like that you made something you can actually get a lot of use out of, instead of doing some big complicated thing like i always seem to end up doing.  kudos.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / new clutch on: August 09, 2005 08:40:15 AM
Hello, I made a new clutch yesterday.
here it is:

It's made of dark red calico fabric with interfacing inside so it's sturdier.  The lining is the same as the outside.  Right now, there's no closure and I'm wondering if I should make one/what kind should it be.  The little flower is made of folded lace.  I'm selling it for $10 - does that seem fair?

i like it but how did you put up that banner i wanted to put on eup but i dont know where to get it from?
i made the banner myself and then uploaded it to etsy.  if you dont want to make a banner you could probably find one somewher eon the web but i'd suggest making it.

calicoon:  that sounds like soooo much folding!!   what exactly do you mean by "bartering"?
i really like your stuff!!!
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / etsy.com tips? on: August 07, 2005 08:15:55 AM
hey i was  wondering if anyone here had tips about selling on etsy.
i have a few questoins, how do you figure out your shipping cost?  i went to the ups site and tried their calculator but it didnt seem to work!  also, how much more is international shipping compared to us shipping and is it a good idea to ship outside of the us?  i'm currently only shipping within the u.s. but im wondering if thats a bad idea.
also, how are you attracting people to your site?
thanks!
my shop has only been open for a few days and im still trying to work out all the kinks.
sadly, i havent sold anything yet.
