1  Fred and George Weasley in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MonstersUnderYourBed on: October 15, 2012 06:55:10 PM
So I just finished a Back to Hogwarts swap and wanted to share what I made (these items in particular)

Introducing Fred and George!

They took a generous amount of time, about 12 hours, I think.

They are completely hand sewn and their hair put in by hand as well.

Here is an in progress shot(AHHH THE ARMLESS TWIN!!)

And another.

I received the other day and was meaning to post pictures but caught up with work. Work's been especially crazy these last two weeks. Anyway here is what my awesome partner, v3nu5, sent me.

First out was this awesome sweater, an image right off of my pinterest, apparently it's supposed to be grey but needs a bit of washing to get there.

Next out was this sweet stein filled with Butterbeer candle that I wish I could drink. I think next to the sweater this is my favorite.

Then there was this neat stag patronus diorama that v3nu5 and her husband made completely by hand. The wood work is amazing. And it glows, well the stag does!

She also sent me some nifty Gryffindor gloves to go with my scarf that will be put to much use when all this weird California weather decides which season it wants to stay in, summer or fall. And a wand she carved herself. I love the wand.

And last were these super cool DH earrings and little stitch markers/charms. One is Polyjuice Potion, the other is Snapes memories (there's a teensy note in it that says "Always." unless I'm completely wrong and no good at reading) and a DH one as well.

This was a fun swap, thanks to Pinkleo and Jennieingram for always organizing the best HP swaps. And thank you again to my wonderful and patient partner! I look forward to seeing more crafty goodness.

Everyone has sent really amazing stuff. I'm sort of nervous about my package.

Anyway I received from tankrgrl yesterday! And boy did she spoil me.
First I opened the box and was greeted by this very lovely chest. And what was inside?!
POTION INGREDIENTS and everything needed for class with Professor Snape. (Apparently there was a bit of a mishap and the contents had shrunk.)

And a close up of all of the cool ingredients. ( I'd have to say the newt eyes are my favorite.)

Next she stopped at Flourish and Blotts and picked up two amazing books for me.
The Monster Book of Monsters and Advanced Potion Making. And a fabulous green quill to take notes with. They both totally made me squeal and jump up and down. I also chased my dogs around with the monster book.

Last but not least she gave me Luna's matching bag that goes with her Gryffindor lion's head outfit.

And wait...that's not all...there was a special surprise inside of the bag.

My favorite wizard of all time DUMBLEDORE!

Tankrgrl really made my week especially after have a terrible last month. I appreciate all the time and hard work you put into everything. I really can't express how thankful I am. I plan on mailing out tomorrow. I hope you're little one likes everything just as much.

4  Weasley is Our King in Crochet: Completed Projects by MonstersUnderYourBed on: August 06, 2011 02:25:35 PM
I made this quite a while ago for my partner in the DH part 2 Swap.

I got the pattern for the crown on Ravelry. It's originally supposed to be a key chain but when I saw it I knew I had to turn it into the "Weasley is Our King" badge. So I added some embroidery. I think it was at most 2 and a half inches wide. Next time I think I'd like to do it in Gryffindor colors instead. Thanks for looking!

5  Re: Adventure Time with Finn and Jake Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by MonstersUnderYourBed on: July 24, 2011 01:50:52 AM
I believe a four point swap is in order then? Partners can agree to do extras if they would like.

Oh and just because of earlier

6  Adventure Time with Finn and Jake Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by MonstersUnderYourBed on: July 22, 2011 05:18:06 PM

Lately I've been really into Adventure Time and have been itching to craft everything I can from that show. And what better way to get the crafty itch out of one's system than to craft for someone else? Just wanted to throw the idea out there in case anyone else would be interested.

7  Mini Ron Weasley :D in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MonstersUnderYourBed on: July 08, 2011 01:54:53 PM
Hi everyone, I was part of the DH Part 2 swap and for my partner I made a Ron Weasley Plush. Last DH Swap I had made Luna Lovegood and Thestral plushies for my partner http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=364471.msg4279973#msg4279973.
I present to you Miniature Ron Weasley.

Like the other plushies he's completely hand stitched.
I changed up the pattern for the head on this one. I think it suites him much better than the oval one.

A picture of him in progress...

And here he is just chillin' with a pygmy puff.

He was a hard one to give away. But I'll probably make another.
Thanks for looking!

8  Re: Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part II GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by MonstersUnderYourBed on: July 02, 2011 02:23:31 PM
Everything is so awesome.  That sectumsempra shirt is totally going on my wists and I love all the art that went into packaging Skookums edibles!

I received my amazing package today from nycalison and her daughter! I was pretty surprised that it arrived so fast.

First the package, because the outside was decorated just so darn cute

And the other side.

And now for the fantastic-ness ( I couldn't think of any other word/made up words)

For the toy/game part I received DH mad libs. I haven't done these in years so I'm pretty excited to use them.

(if this picture is sideways I have no idea why but I apologize, if not then disregard this!)
And then the awesome edible! It's the newest product from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, Ton Tongue Toffee meets Cockroach Clusters.
They are soo soo yummy, I wish I could share it with you all.

Some cute buttons to wear!

An awesome Gryffindor themed tissue holder, which I plan on putting to good use since I'm a cry baby and I nearly start crying every time I think about HP being over.

Then there was this awesome necklace! I fell in love with it right when I saw it, it's based off another necklace on my wists but this one says "bloody hell"

And last but not least

MY VERY OWN MARAUDER'S BAG!!!! It's so amazing! I can't wait to use it.

And the back

And finally a group shot.

THANK YOU SO MUCH NYCALISON AND AUTUMN! I love love love everything and I hope you guys like what I sent as well. And thank you to the wonderful organizers as well for a great swap! Cheesy

I present to you Coraline and Mr. Squiddy.

She is about five inches tall and her squid is about two inches. She is completely hand sewn.

And here is one more of her wearing the seeing stone I made out of clay for her.

Thanks for looking :]

I received my super, awesome package from Supermutts yesterday! I was going to hold off on opening it until I had sent hers but I couldn't help myself.

I had to open the box from the bottom because there was tons of packing tape my lame scissors could not cut through.
I expected to see a small something in it but instead I saw this

Isn't it awesome?! I especially love the squiddies on it! My partner happens to be an amazing artist.

I then opened it up to find more surprises.

The first little package I opened up was

Coraline! A mini Coraline! She's so detailed and cute. I couldn't imagine all the work put into her.
She even has her own seeing stone.

And then there was a bigger extra seeing stone for me and a button bracelet from my wists.

Not only did she make me a little Coraline but a little Squiddy too!

Isn't he awesome?

And one final picture of Coraline and Mr. Squiddy so you can see all the glory and detail.

And last but not least this amazing card she made.

My partner is an amazing artist! Did I mention that already? I am completely in love with the card and envelope as I am with everything else.
Thank you Supermutts so much! You completely spoiled me. I hope you'll like your package just as much when I send it.
