3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / New apartment calls for new decorations! on: June 29, 2010 12:32:05 PM
On one of my recent trips to Goodwill, I found these lovely red candlesticks! The coloring on the exterior had lots of scratches and chips of the clearish paint missing. After much brainstorming on how to recon these into a fabulous new addition to our new apartment, this is what I have come up with!

I'd llllooooovvee to hear what you think! Any suggestions and comments are always welcome!

Ill have to add some action shots soon as I am hoping that when the lights are dim (and there are actually candles being used in them) that I will get some nice reflections from all the glass!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Cute Martini Glasses and sweets! on: February 17, 2010 05:16:02 PM
This year for Valentines day I decided to make my gifts (for the most part) for the bf and this is what I came up with. I do apologize in advanced for not having the best pics, I should have gotten pics BEFORE we used the glasses, but alas, a smidge of dirty-ness never hurt anyone, least not from pictures hehe!
I used a print variation off of some ADOREABLE pillows Ive seen lurking around... Not sure if you can tell, but from where the girl is blowing the kisses, the hearts get bigger and bigger, and then increasingly larger on the boys recieving line, you know, as the love grows :)

I HAD to try these lovely chocolate bowls, borrowed off of a lovely fellow user here, this is what I came up with:

And of course the classic cookies, this is just the first layer of several, but you get the jist of it. "butt cookies" are mixed in ;p

Any thoughts? Comments? Let me know !!!!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How do you guys store your recon stuff? on: January 02, 2010 05:05:51 PM
Hey everyone!

Ive recently started doing a lot of reconstruction projects and have a lot of clothes that really, I should get rid of, but just cant because I know I can use them for some super awesome project in the hopefully near future.

My question is how the heck do you store it all? Is it better to just rip the seems and stack em up? or just toss the clothes in bins and hold on to them that way? I live in an uber small apartment at the moment so I cant go all out like I want to yet Smiley
ANY suggestions would be awesome!
