1  flying curdle worm in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by beatblack on: August 01, 2012 02:16:03 PM
This one seems to get a whole range of reactions and it made me curious to see what other polymer clay peoples might think. So far I've heard some say its ugly, weird, pretty, scary or messed up. some even think it looks like a vibrava pokemon or lamprey Cheesy

I started making a similar one over a couple years ago but put it down when i didn't like the way the wings were coming out (i keep it in a box so no ones sees). It's can be hard sometimes to make something that can both be affordable to anyone interested in buying it, as well as intricate. This second go I decided to just make the idea in my head rather than worry about costs and this is what came out:

I was ready to list it online but my boyfriend wanted it instead. It was a bit of a relief in the end cause I became attached to it and it would have been hard to see it leave forever

2  Anatomy Lockets in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by beatblack on: January 21, 2011 05:24:16 AM
Heeeey  Cheesy its been a while...

I've been playing around with lockets lately and so far its been a good time. The
only frustrating part is that its a twice baked process so there's a bit of waiting
around in between. The ribcage took a really long time but I didn't want to half
ass it for the sake of charging less. I made a heart that goes inside too but it
makes the piece a little too heavy. I'm still debating adding a heart for anything
more than pictures sake.

The brains were what started the whole thing. I saw the heart shaped locket
and all I could think was to slap some brains on that mother

...I just finished watching the movie savage grace and my minds still in wtf
mode. Its based on a true story about what led a son to murder his mother.
I don't want to spoil it but they slept together 0_o gore doesn't disturb me
but mommy effing does.  Huh

3  Curdle Worms in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by beatblack on: September 26, 2010 01:54:22 AM
Lately I've been busy making all sorts of wormy, fleshy figurines. Some I plan on selling and others (the more fragile pieces) are just for the eff of it. These were both made on wire supports with a mix of translucent and euchr clay. Then they're crevices were painted before being sealed with a satin glaze

This second one had eye lashes but they were too thick so I pulled them out... I'm still thinking of adding some but need to find the right kind first.

They almost kind of look squishy in the right light  Cheesy

5  Challenge 1: Blue Waves Pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by beatblack on: February 10, 2010 06:57:42 PM
Iits not the idea I had initially pictured but I wanted to make sure I submitted something. I wish I had more time as I'm sure a lot of us do, haha

The pendant has been made from polymer clay. Pearl colour was used for the waves and a light blue for the drip shaped background. I also chipped some real beach glass for the dips in the waves.

Its hard to see but there is also some silver on the pearl part of the waves.

and found out that my camera is taking weird spotty pictures with this one

when i was all done and photographed I turned the light box off and remember that I mixed the pearl with some glow in the dark clay, hehehe  Cheesy

I've been exploring craftster in a little more depth and came across this page. I love all the weird and adorable things I've been coming across here! haha

This is my newest polymer clay piece. It measures about an inch and a half tall and was made while watching old episodes of the tribe (love that show).

hope i posted it right...
