Ooo!  That Rouge sweater looks lovely but way out of my league skill-wise.  I'd love to see how it turns out for you vetern knitters.

I'm still working on my 'to dye for' from SNB.  I've had to redo it 3 times now as I've been a total jackass and didn't do a proper gauge swatch so by the time I get 4 inches into it, I find, nope, still not right.  I have to go back to the LYS tomorrow to get some bigger needles and start over...yet again!!   All I can say is that I hope I get this thing knitted before summer! I don't mind too much though since I don't have any other huge knitty projects that are calling my name.  I'm working on a hat from an old Rebecca magazine (that I've made once before and totally messed up--it looks like a crazy baby bottle nipple when I put it on my head.  It's a good one to pull out when you're out camping with friends for laughs.) and I got a skein of cashmere to make arm bands/braceletty things for my friend for Christmas (NEXT YEAR!  Woot!  I'm getting a head start this year!).

Love hearing about everyone's progress!

lovely!  your project is fabulous and i dig your style.  i'll have to give these a try.  it's always really cold in the office i work in so these would be perfect.

wow, Tere!  that's lovely!  you did make it look far nicer than they did on that site.

count me in the lonely knitters club!  a coworker of mine is doing a stitch and bitch on friday nights but i have a 10 month old daughter which keeps me from getting out at night.

Hi all,

I've been following this forum for a while.  I felt a little bit of a cheat since I did make my first sweater last spring.  However, it didn't come out quite the way I had hoped.  It was the To Dye For sweater in SNB and the sleeves, even though I had cut out a few rows and didn't add as many stitches for the bell sleeves, they were crazy huge.  I tried to shrink it up a bit (uhh, yeah, right) and now it looks like a Britney Spears tummy show with the same long huge sleeves!  I was hoping to try the Fair Isle in SNBNation but I decided since this was an easy sweater to follow, I'd try it again with new yarn.  I've cast on and have about 5 rows for the back so far.

Jessy, if you have any questions about this sweater, I might be able to help!  I could always post the photo of the 1st sweater to show you how not to do it~ Tongue

i saw a groovy collar in the new vogue 'knit 1' magazine.  it's kind of fancy with buttons running up the side but it might be a good starting point.
