1  Re: Star Wars swap round 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dreadfullydivine on: June 04, 2012 08:09:07 PM
Well I am finally posting pictures of my awesome package that I received from SaralaAnne. She really went above and beyond and spoiled me. Thank you so much!

First she sent me this awesome bleach stenciled shirt. I have attempted bleach stenciling and the outcome was REALLY BAD so I am beyond amazed with this shirt.

Then came a hat straight from my pin! I couldn't believe and of course my horde of children instantly took turns wearing it.
Front

Back

She also sent a Star Wars coloring book to occupy my children while I pranced around with my new goodies...

And if that wasn't enough she also sent me a giant tote with my favorite quote.."Let the Wookie Win" on it which I will have to post a picture of it when it is returned to me since it was left at a friend's house much to my dismay. Cry

Thanks so much for all the goodies!

Like a lot of you here I am completely Dr Who Obsessed. While the Ninth and Tenth doctor shall always be my favorites, Matt Smith is growing on me. So in order to help curve my obsession I finally completed this cross stitch.

A close up of the Tardis
(and the windows, sign and POLICE BOX all glow in the dark-since I couldn't have a mini tardis that didn't-my other half thinks I am nuts at times. Cheesy)

rlynn-It took forever of me pestering my mom to get her to teach me how to make kimchi. I think that my mom thinks I am useless too. It must be a Korean mother thing. LOL. The bird hoop is too cute.

trinalocakary- I love the green fairy on the skull.

craftylittlemonkey-The kimchi is fermenting now as we speak. Thankfully my whole family eats kimchi so it won't go to waste.

v3nu5-Love the doggie sweaters. I love the name Chewbacca for a dog! Best dog name ever.

SilverMoon- I really love the TM patches you are creating. Crafting with kids is difficult my three always want to know what I am doing by crawling up in the middle of it.

kwiltykate-Gorgeous quilt. I love the colors and the owls and the monkeys are just too cute.

alwaysinmyroom-Kimchi soup for the win! I love it even though I feel like I need to eat an entire container of breath mints after. Lips sealed

Smeddley-I love the hipscarves. I think that the icy one is my favorite.

AlishaMisha-Those sheep are ADORABLE. I really need to learn how to knit.

Kookaloo_Starr- Cute bags! I can never find bags that I really like so I guess the lesson here is to make them myself.  Wink

kriSmith-The cupcakes look amazing and delicious.

mama24boyz-Love Link and the Thundercats cross stitch ROCKS!

meleriffic-Gorgeous blanket, I love the colors.

smashu- There is a cucumber kimchi that I have been hassling my mother to teach me how to make. She has finally caved and and agreed to teach me next time she makes it. So if it comes out really well I will share the recipe.

zombiecazz-SHEEEPPP! I love them!

nilmerg-Really neat idea to use a table runner as a messenger bag. Very Clever!

audio-I love the tin! I am a victim of horrible procrastination~Craftster can do that to a person.  Roll Eyes

dreadlocklove-Congrats!

mellybelly81-I have never heard of a breastfeeding necklace. I am sad that I didn't have one for my little ones while there were still nursing.

fantasticmio-I never would have thought to put the two yarns together. I always went to the store wondering what I could do with the pom pom yarn and never picked it up.

MissingWillow-The patella looks delicious.

Now I am officially done with Craftster procrastination and I am off to attempt to pry myself away from this addictive site and perhaps get some crafting done.

Well this is my attempt for something new. My mother is Korean and I have been bugging her for ages to teach me how to make some of the traditional dishes that I grew up on. I finally managed to learn how to make two dishes. I guess they may qualify as red since there is a lot of red chili pepper in them.  Cheesy

Learn how to make KimChi

and Learn how to make Shredded Radish KimChi

rottenlittleboys- Really neat and thoughtful idea with the Scout quilt. I am sure that he will cherish that in years to come.

rockon- Everyone needs a cape. I hope to see pictures of them modeled.

Abbeeroad- Really sweet Valentine's Day card.

katara-Lovely bracelet

ZombieLili-Fantastic pictures and the Totoro card is simply amazing.

Kookaloo_Starr-Love the tunic it looks really comfortable.

cursive_queen-What a great hoop!I am sure that your partner will adore it.

I recently went through a stenciling frenzy since I wanted to make my best friend a shirt for his birthday. But like all my projects it multiplied and it turned into three shirts. O.o

The original birthday present with our favorite Eddie Izzard quote

The Stark Family crest which I can wear when the second season of Crown of Thrones comes out
It glows in the dark too as an added bonus

And finally yet another the Dice are trying to kill me shirt (since my other half insisted that he needed one as well)

5  Freezer Paper Sailor Neptune in Stenciling: Completed Projects by dreadfullydivine on: February 02, 2012 11:45:13 AM
I made this shirt for the amazing Oath Keeper as part of a personal swap. Since we both loved Sailor Moon I couldn't resist from creating this for her since Sailor Neptune is her favorite (as an added bonus it glows in the dark). While it didn't come out as dark as I would like it I think next time I will do the glow in the dark paint over a darker color.

6  Spike quote in Needlework: Completed Projects by dreadfullydivine on: February 02, 2012 11:17:16 AM
I am horribly bad about posting pictures recently but I did a personal swap with the amazing talented Oath Keeper. The original package was eaten by the postal service but I couldn't let a fellow Buffy fan down. Especially since we both love Spike and this amazing quote.

7  Owl Beanie madness! in Crochet: Completed Projects by dreadfullydivine on: February 02, 2012 11:07:33 AM
I have recently gone through a giant owl beanie phase which my kids and and gaming group fell victim too. They are such good sports.

The original Trio for my gaming group.. Angry Birds has nothing on them.

But then my children had such a good time trying on the owl beanies that I needed to make some for them.

And of course the Rainbow Owl is modeled by my youngest...because all hats need a model.

indigo_roses- I love the weeping angel! They are my favorite DR Who Villains.

sheepBlue- Love the trophy. I know several people who would kill for it. ^_~

Smeddley- The apron is fantastic! Extremely creative and the walrus is adorable.

J_Kieviet- That is a lot of sewing and I really like the curtains!

coocoosnest-That snake necklace is simply breathtaking! I love it! I am also green with envy with your lovely organized craft space.

that1girl-Lovely blanket!

jillybeans- I love the HP TM bag! I really love seeing these and now I really want to make one for myself.

Abbeeroad-I love love love the dino hat! I would wear it.

mellybelly81-Perfect stitches and the accessory scarf is really a neat idea.

kksimone-One can't go wrong with anything Sailor Moon. I adore the cards.

ChrisSews-Pretty pillow.

katara- Gorgeous fascinator. Yet another lovely thing to add to my never ending list of crafts to do.

Ohh the February challenges should be interesting! I really need to light a craft fire under my butt and get it in gear instead of just adding things to my list. My kids really love the owl hats that I gave to my friends so I had to make one for each of them so I am not sure if that counts as a new craft or an addition to an finished project.
