Thanks so much for your replies! Bob, Thank you so much for looking up those domain names for me! That was very clever of you to think of. You were spot on with my biggest concern too... breaking it to people that their items coudn't be displayed in my store. I would need to hire someone else to do that I think! I am a wimp  Tongue

Thanks again everyone. I have some serious number crunching to do now!

Hello my beautiful craftsters!!

I have an idea for a small boutique shop I would like to open in my home town and I would love your opinion on whether it would work and if you think anyone would be interested in selling with me...

My idea is to stock fully handmade and hand crafted items such as furniture, clothes, handbags, gift ideas etc.

But I would like to sell items on a commission basis. So all the talented people in my area can sell their items in my shop - I'm thinking about calling it "Made with love" Huh and I will sell them and keep about 15% of the sale price. What do you think? Would anyone go for it do you think?

I would also love...down the road a little... to be able to give some people a start up loan to get their products up and going and then just take a bit more % of the sales to pay back the loan.

Ok so thats the idea. It looks so gorgeous in my head! With paintings on the walls from local artists and a kids section with handcrafted toys and beautiful fabrics everywhere!!

Absolutely gorgeous!! I think I am going to attempt one for my little girls birthday. Did you use elastic in the tutu or is the ribbon threaded through and tied?
