1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / How to make an Indian Headress? on: January 27, 2011 12:15:58 PM
I'm trying to find a tutorial on how to make an indian headdress for a costume I'm working on. I can't find a good one anywhere... Has anyone in the craftster community made one? It'd be for a kids head. It would be pretty small not the ones that go all the way down to the ground. Like this.. http://www.crafts-gifts.com/indian/headdress.shtml except instead of all that nifty beading I'd just do leather or something like that. I can sew, hot glue, tape, (you name it I can probably do it or teach myself to) Thanks for you help!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / G(a)linda from Wicked costume help! on: September 07, 2010 09:47:49 AM
Hi craftser friends!

I'm wanting to be G(a)linda from Wicked for Halloween this year! I've seen the play twice (best musical ever just saying) I wanted to know if ya'll could help me come up with costume ideas for it! I was hoping for her "Good News" (no one mourns the wicked) dress but would totally settle for the pink "Popular" dress. I can sew but the least amount of sewing possible and I would be filled with "graditution!"

Thanks so much for all your ideas!
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / I need help displaying tutus and sock animals! on: August 13, 2010 03:44:10 PM
Hi craftster friends!

I have a craft boutique coming up in a few months and I know it's a long time away to start stressing about things like that except I'm currently cleaning our old playroom in the basement and turning it into a craft studio. So I didn't want to throw away things I could use in displays before I got advice.

I will have two tables, 6 ft each. We can have anything we want behind the table but only 1/2-1 ft in front as to not interfere with people walking. It's my fifth year doing this craft fair and I absolutely LOVE it! It's such a great way to meet other people and promote my business as well. I'm probably going to be opening an etsy shop before the craft boutique so I will be able to advertize in that way also. I'm very excited! It's my second year having sock monkeys but my first having other animals so I wanted to know if there was a way I could display them other than a basket... I have other things besides my tutus and sock animals so the less space required the better I have about half a table set aside for them. ( the sock animals) But I need more ideas spacifically for my tutus. I might hang a fish net of sorts on the front of the table and hang them from there but I would like to make a banner and hang it with my business somewhere on the front of the tables...

Sorry this is so vague... Thanks for your help Smiley
