1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Silver Chain and Garnet Pendant on: April 14, 2010 12:09:17 PM
Wow! You must have the patience of an angel to solder each ring to make that.  Shocked
Bezels are my next adventure, but I am still slightly terrified.  This is beautiful!

It goes faster than you think. Start with soldering singles. Then, solder another ring onto each single, which leaves you with doubles. Next, solder a ring to connect two doubles together, which leaves you fives, and so on. Before you know it you'll have one long chain.

Bezels can be challenging at first, but just take your time, and you'll get it.

Thanks for the compliments!  Cheesy

The water bird is my favorite. There's a tribal, exotic feel to him, and the glaze colors make the background seem marshy to me.

Good job.

The picture is hilarious. The turn of the tail seals the deal.  Cheesy

I love these. The paintings have a decidedly animated, illustrative feel to them, like they could fly off their limbs at any moment. Excellent.

I'll have to bookmark this one. The brain is already turning the cogs as to how I could do something similar.  Grin

Crazy! Gorgeous and very impressive. My favorite is the 4th piece down with the pink flowers in the center. Makes me want to learn how to do that. Smiley

Very fun! Makes me want to make a giant Caterkiller Badnik from Sonic the Hedgehog. Cheesy

In the second image, Patrick Star looks like he just got taken out.  Grin

I think these are fun! As a graphic artist, I find all the varied fonts and logos on the corks to be quite interesting. However, I think it would take me years to build up enough corks to make a sizeable board. Ha! Cheesy

Coming from a gardener, that is SO cool! xD

I have a couple of bookmarks with seeds embedded in them, but I haven't tried planting them yet. I've also seen greeting cards with seed embedded shapes on them.

I bet you could make some cute Christmas ornaments out of those. Hang them on the tree, or even make a garland out of them, and then plant them when the season is over!  Grin

Love it.  Your work is truly amazing.

Thank you very much!  Cheesy
