It's full, quarter and a load of backstitch!  I used 28 ct fabric and stitched over 2 with DMC 115.

Ruby,
From what I understand from all of my super geek friends, it's from the "expanded universe" which basically means all the stuff outside the movies.  The Jedi have a code too...I might have to do that one, maybe in a nice Yoda green to hang up next to this one Smiley

Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

Haven't seen star wars?Huh Gasp!!! This isn't in the movies.. You'd need to be a super star wars geek (like me) to know it Smiley
thanks, everyone for looking and for the kind words!!!  I'll try to put up a clearer pic when I can!

I am doing a weird, eclectic dance of happiness inside as I picked up this sucker from the framers later yesterday:

This is a super-secret stitching project that I am planning to give the man for our anniversary in early June.  After many, many days of getting up EARLY (thank goodness for those OTT lights!!), staying up late, and rushing to hide the damn thing whenever I thought I heard him getting up or getting home - it's DONE.  Smiley  He's a huge Star Wars fan, and I figured it would be nice to do something special for him.  I have done so many other projects for other people, I think it was past time he got something hand made from me.

Sorry for the semi dark/blurry photo - it's pretty gloomy here and I had to take the photo in my office with my iPhone since my good camera is at the house....and the man is far too good at sniffing out presents hidden anywhere at home, so I'm keeping this in my office at work so he can't find it!

I'm so glad you all are enjoying this!  It was too much fun to put together.  I have had friends ask for one...they're a bit miffed that I've offered to send them the PATTERN and they can make one themeselves Wink  I am working on trying to PDF the pattern in case anyone does want it...I used free software to make it, so I'm not sure if the file would open for anyone who doesn't have that particular software.  If all else fails...I'll guess I'll have to snail mail Smiley

it's absolutely beautiful!  We always tend to see our "mistakes" more clearly since we have looked at the project for endless hours....I however, see nothing wrong with it!  I'm sure mom will LOVE it.

I decided I needed some Sam Jackson in my stitching pile...my husband just walked by shaking his head as I worked on this one.  I found a South Park style pic online and ran it through the cross stitch software to make the pattern.  I'm not sure where this one will end up yet.....

I might just have to put it up above the coffee pot...I'm still looking for an appropriate frame.  Although, I'll probably end up giving it to someone...somehow most of my projects end up as gifts for other people....at least it keeps me out of trouble for the time it takes to complete each project Smiley

I found this chart online as a freebie and thought it was too cute to pass up.  Not sure what I'm going to do with it now that it's finished, but oh well Smiley

The chart can be found here: http://plumstreetsamplers.typepad.com/plum_street_samplers/freebie/page/2/     at the end of the page.
