21  Little Red Riding hood and the Wolf in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: July 13, 2011 03:59:39 PM
I LOVED the new Red Riding Hood movie and I just love fairytales in general! And I also adore Jodi Cain's dolls and her spin on lil red riding hood, so I made my own lil creeper doll inspired by the two!

I used the "Wide Eyed Wendy" pattern (  http://judisdolls.com/wendy/index.html  )  by Judi Ward for Lil Red. This was a great pattern! I loved it!  and for the wolf I used this wolf plushie pattern from Silver Seams
(  http://www.silverseams.com/opensource/wolf-plushie-pattern.html  )   I am not so happy with how he turned out in the face Sad   but the pattern was still a good pattern! I made his teeth from plyclay and glued it in. I was going off her teddy wolf for the face, but she needle felted her's so it looks much better!

Alll in all, Im still happy with them...but I think Ill try to make some better ones
Thanks for looking!!!! Comments of all kinds welcome!

22  Skeleton Doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: July 13, 2011 03:49:22 PM
I was doing a google search and found this ADORABLE skeleton doll (loading up my wist for the halloween swaps ^_^) He was listed on etsy, but had sold and i didnt think to look to see who made him, so if you are the maker Please Credit Yourself!!! He is amazing! I new I had to have one, and he looked rather small in the pic so I knew If i were to make him, he'd have to be large! So here he is the most amazing skelly doll ever! lol He's made of black felt and then painted with white craft paint

He is button jointed so he can sit or stand

heres the orginal! I think I did a pretty good job, not as good as this one, but Im proud of him!

23  Happy lil Hippo! *With Pattern!* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: June 26, 2011 07:52:27 AM
I whipped this little guy up a few weeks ago and finally learned how to scan things onto my computer! yayaya! lol I hope you guys enjoy him! Please post pics of your lil hippos! I'd love to see them!

About the Pattern:

I hand stitched him with a blanket stitch. He has safety eyes, I don't remember what mm. but they are pretty small. His eyebrows are just embroidered on. You'll want to cut a strip about 1 1/2 inches wide and long enough to go around one head piece. This is the middle of his head, so you'll so one side to the strip and the other side on the opposite side of the strip. Sew the under body legs to one side of a body side, and the other body side to the opposite side. Sew along his back. A note about the under body: Its too big! when I drew it out it turned out a little to big on the legs and makes him a really fat hippo that doesn't stand well. You can trim the legs so they fit perfectly but if you don't want a really fat hippo, use a ladder stitch to give him a tummy tuck straight down his belly. I like the effect because it gives him some definition between his legs. Sew the foot pieces onto his stumps. Fold the ears so they overlap a little at the bottom. Sew them onto his head, sew his head onto his body. Wala! Your very own hippo!

You'll want to enlarge this a little, I think it you print it on "full Page" setting that it will make a smaller hippo.

Have fun!!!

24  Nautical star pillow FIRST EVER GRAPH!!! in Crochet: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: June 14, 2011 06:11:19 PM
I bought this graph pattern a while back off etsy and just got around to trying it out. I've never done anything with a graph before and at first it was a challange...trying to figure out which way to go and all. Its got several mess up's, but hey, I dont think it was that bad for my frist try! I didnt know what to do with it when I got it done, so I decided to make a pillow since It mached my comforter. I've never sewed a crocheted piece on a sewing machine either and so since i pulled on one side and not on the other it came out a little lumpy. I really liked the graphing process thow so Ill be making more and with some experience Hopefully a perfect pillow will come out of it!

28  Tiny Manatees! With link to pattern *pic obease* in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Xbeautiful_disasterX on: January 20, 2011 08:57:03 PM
So I made the frist one, and then every night since, I've made a tiny one! Last night was the grey one, tonight was the green one with eyelids. Im trying diffrent things with the lil ones to practice for when I make a HUGE one! I'm thinking I might make the tiny ones into keychains.  Grin These ones are handsewn and take about 30minutes to an hour depending on how fast you sew.  I shrunk the pattern just a little in a word doc.

Link to my frist one with the pattern link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=370081.0

And the pics!

The white one was my first and was done on a sewing machine
