1001  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: fabric, shrink plastic, and beads oh my! on: April 26, 2010 04:29:41 PM
All of your stuff is great! All of the necklaces are so pretty and the shrink plastic charms are amazing! Smiley
1002  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: chip clips/ highlighter pens on: April 26, 2010 03:58:49 PM
Depending on the type of pen, you can add polymer clay to them. It may be more work than you want to do for 300 of them, but adding a rainbow of colors could be very pretty! (I found an example of one at: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=302868.0)

These slippers are great! Has anyone had success with the outdoor soles?
1004  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Kodachrome Curtains - Updated! Now with lampy goodness! on: April 26, 2010 01:00:39 AM
I love the curtains! There is something about old slides that I love...
I am so glad to hear that the slides haven't faded - that was the first question that came to my mind. My mom has a ton of slides from when she was young which she doesn't know what to do with. After we get them scanned into a computer (somehow) I would love to use them for a project like this!
1005  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: A Matching Set! on: April 26, 2010 12:10:52 AM
Very pretty! I really like the color combination.

Very cute! The film that I am using doesn't come with a scale ruler so this is going to take some experimentation, especially for the band... but I really want to try! Any suggestions besides trial and error?

I love the blue and white dress! You are very talented!
1008  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Learning the site... on: April 25, 2010 06:41:58 PM
Hi! I have been "lurking" for awhile and am finally attempting to become part of this (although tentatively, because truthfully it is all a bit intimidating!). I enjoy attempting all sorts of crafts - which explains my chaotic craft supplies. It also explains my intimidation with this site - everything looks like so much fun to try and it all becomes a bit overwhelming! So many of the people on this site are so talented!!

Because craft supplies are running amok at my house, my husband is hopeful that being part of a crafting site will encourage me to reign in the mess... I don't think he really understands how crafting works! Wink
