MissingWillow - love the tablecloth weights! Such a great idea!!

StickerChic87 - super cute stationary! I have been on house kick with some of my stationary and jewelry too.

pinokeeo - cute puzzle pictures! Question on the wood pieces - I had tried something similar (but with metal), but the back side looked like a hot mess. Did you do anything to make the back look nicer?

that1girl - as always I am impressed by the amount and quality of work that you do! If I was that productive, my projects would all be rocks glued to paper.

Ffrogg526 - love the blanket! (my camera does the same thing: "no purples for you!"  Cheesy)

texscrapper - gorgeous apron!

Kookaloo_Starr - such a pretty doily! So impressed with people who have the ability and patience for things like that!! (and I love the anklet!)

CONGRATS Dawn Trees.  That is a huge accomplishment!
Thanks waggonswest!  Grin

I just caught up with all of the amazing projects that have been going on here! Too many to mention - I love all of them!

I have been really absent for awhile - after a few horrendously busy months, I just filed my dissertation last week! I will actually get to participate in graduation in June (yay!) (and have my whole family show up at my house... yay?). So although I want to celebrate by crafting, I actually have to catch up on all the housework, yardwork, and other work that I have been neglecting for the last six months... (just when I thought I would be able to relax!).

But, I am making some thank-you gifts for my committee members. The only one that I have done is for my chair.

His thank you card:

We had talked about infusing drinks (he likes a good cocktail occasionally) so about three weeks ago I started a ginger vodka infusion. I also found an awesome bottle at Goodwill. I think I went  a bit over the top with the decorations for it (they are not practical when pouring) but I like the drawer-pull cork stopper.

You can see a little of the ginger that I added in the bottle. After pouring off the vodka, I now have a ton of vodka infused ginger that I need to figure out what to do with!

Hanging from the back is a metal oval that I stamped "Thank you" on. After trying three times I realized that I really need to work on my stamping skills (it seems like it should be so easy!)

I am hoping to give it to him today or tomorrow.

Just a super fast check in - I am totally overwhelmed by school and issues at home so I have had no time to do any crafting at all Sad  but I do check in with this post! You are all amazing. There have been so many posts I have wanted to comment on but keep thinking "but there was that OTHER picture I wanted to comment on, so I will wait until I can think straight and then comment on both of them.." After meeting with my advisor at school yesterday I don't think I will have time to do anything more than feel sick to my stomach for the next month, so I have to give up on the current dream of going back through many pages and commenting individually on all of your gorgeous, fantastic, amazing work!

Long story short - you are all awesome in your crafty goodness! Thank you for reminding me that there is more to life than what I am currently going through! Kiss

Mellybelly - such a sweety! Congratulations to the new family!

There has been such amazing things posted recently!

Pinokeeo - absolutely LOVE the wood stuff you have been doing! How long does it take you to make one of the spoons? I received a hand carved spoon that I absolutely love to use - there is just something satisfying about using hand carved wood for food. (okay that sounds really strange now that it is typed... but I don't know how else to explain it!)

It has been a total dry spell for my crafting. Tough month in every way possible, and I just haven't been able to convince myself to sit down and do anything. I am going to go visit my daughter this weekend and want to bring her something, so I may try to get something done tonight.

P_E_S_T - forget my kids, can I come to your house next year??

I always look forward to the craziness that is today! But, I will say that I am STILL a tad disappointed that there is not going to be a Craftster commune for all of us to live at... (I believe that idea may have been floating around two years ago just about now)

Hope you don't mind that I linked your post to my craftalong...I know some of the paper artists were complaining on the durability of some of their own projects... Cheesy

That was me!  Grin  Thank you so much for sharing! The willingness to share tips and tricks is part of why I love Craftster so much!

And, your quilling is beautiful, both as quilling itself and as jewelry!

I love everything that has been posted!

I just got back from the conference - the tin boxes and magnets that I made for the silent auction were well received - perhaps a bit too much so! They are not made for quite as much handling as they got and I needed to do some on-the-fly repair work. Lessons learned: next time bring additional supplies with me (ie glue), neither washi tape nor paper on metal really hold up to lots of handing.

So many amazing projects! Love the Star Wars bag, yummy looking faux chocolate bunnies, beautiful baby blanket and super cool eggs!

I am doing a big upload of the projects I have been working on - sorry for the picture overload!

I made this necklace / wrap around bracelet with green wire and various green beads. I got the gorgeous round green beads from lindyv321 two years ago for a birthday swap and have been waiting for the right project to come up!

I am going to a conference tomorrow and wanted to bring some items for the silent auction. I had wanted to make pendants, but it was too cold and the resin came out cloudy  Angry
So, I made magnets and boxes instead  Grin

I have a couple other projects that I am working on, but since I only seem to be able to craft a few hours here and there it may be awhile before I can post any more finished projects!
