Oh, I like those.  I'm having an impossible time doing the bouquet thing for my wedding (you know how much those things cost?!), but these are pretty awesome.  I really like how you did the tone on tone.

Maybe I'll do this.  How long did it take you?

Thanks! I think it took me 2 days, but with help from my mom.

Oh my gosh! I love it! It reminds me of a sweet gum seed pod.  If you don't mind me asking, do you remember the size of the paper squares you used? I'd love to make one like it, but smaller.

Thanks! They're 9cm squares. Pretty convenient for me since the white paper was the kind of note paper that comes in boxes.

You drew the washi designs!?  Beautiful job!!  I love washi paper and never thought that inch sized bits could be hand drawn... kinda like zenchies kicked up a knotch!

lol...thanks. Yeah, kind of born out of the frustration of thinking how expensive it is to buy the real thing. I got a packet as a gift when I went on a student exchange to Japan but I can't get myself to use them.

Your scan doesn't look real... they are too perfect... and the shadow behind each one...

yeah, i know they look unreal. That's because I scanned them and then added shadows in photoshop just for a more 3d effect. But i made them in real life, no worries.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mr B the styrofoam cup king on: August 30, 2009 03:11:34 AM
I hope this is the right section to post this...

Anyways, this is Mr B, my little styrofoam cup queen king. Made with markers, white gel ink pen and permanent black marker. The crown is made of the styrofoam cup cover.

Sorry for the bad image quality, I don't have a working camera(or seem to be going to get one in the near future) so I had to use my webcam

A paper flower I made using a combination of kusudama flower patterns. Then I joined them together using metal wire

Hi.

I decided to try making a kusudama ball with my mom.

Here's where I got the tutorial from

and a closeup

Sorry, the image quality is not very good, I don't have a working camera so I had to use my webcam.

Hello, I'm new to Craftster.I've been looking through the forums looking for some crafts to do during my holidays, so I decided to make some inchies. They were made based on the theme of washi (Japanese handmade paper)

Here they are, enjoy.

made with poster colour and white and gold gel ink pens on mounting board.
ps: I scanned them instead of taking a photo.
