261  Cake ring in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Mamaneedles on: November 30, 2009 06:30:59 PM
I really don't know if I'm in the ring section right now!
Pardon me if I'm wrong...

I'm currently making ALOT of play food and as my SIL's bday's coming I made her a little cake ring.

sorry it's not the best pic...

262  Ewell Finished! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 28, 2009 06:51:42 PM
Some sources states that Ewell means Winter, other says it means Springs... I also read it was a deformation of Yule.

Here she is with her little fur friend. It was meant to be a wolf, according to a patern on dA. Didn't happen. It looks more like a cat... I think I'm gonna name him Pan. Any other sugestions?

close up to her jewels

Rock on!!
Each finger bends, arms and legs too.

Found nothing to make wings, so a bought a ready made butterfly. Now he's too cute and I don't want to kill him so he stays. I'm even trying to find him a name.

Put some beads in her dreads Smiley

Chilling with her mates...

What's funny is that it began to storm as I finished her. I mean: A VERY HUGE SNOW STORM. ahah!

She's made with white felt, her make up is acrylic paint. I was really stressed about that and did that part last. Hair is 100% cotton wool. Stuffing comes from a dead teddy.(a rather ugly one!) her dress in made out of a pair of underwear I never worn due to it being too big (bought by my mom without consulting me...) Fur comes from the previous named dead teddy... I bought the beads and the butterfly.

I went to a point where I didn't want to give it anymore!
It's for the oldest Sis-in-law who's bday is soon enough...
now the younger claimed how much she was jealous.... So. I guess I need to make another one! ah!
I think I'm gonna go with a fall theme for her....or a Twilight theme?

Thanks for looking!

263  Butter, Chips, mushrooms.... this week! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 28, 2009 06:11:26 PM

This is called Pt Chinois.
This is meant to be steak, corn and potatoes. It's a traditional "poor" meal in Qubec...

They are huge! but I manage to get them right so... after trying 4 times, there they are!

ok, it looks a lot like a tomato, but my attend was really a pepper...

I love them! And I hate to eat real ones!

264  WIP- My first poppet! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 22, 2009 08:48:57 PM
yes, I did take a break from play food. About 3h....

This is my first attempt at making a poppet, using the Elenore Pattern.
Patterns are great! I should try them more often!! Thanks to the awesome girl that put that pattern up!

I'm totally in love with her so far!!

As soon as she got her face up, so told me her name was Ewell. How sweet! She's going to be a Winter Spirit, as she's for my sis-in-law who's born December 9th

Here she is, helping the boyfriend to do his math study (but mostly distracting him....)

The hands are hand stitched but all the rest was done with a sewing machine. Each fingers, arms and legs as a pipe cleaner so they are pose-able. Now I need to dress her and give her a lovely make-up and hair-do.

Can you picture her with long white/blue hair? With blue eyes, of course!!

267  This week's (yep, playfood again!) LOTS. in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 15, 2009 07:36:25 PM
I made a blog showing and explaining some of the stuff I did Smiley

Lettuce

Fluffy Cauliflower (it's a new variety!)

Carrots

(this one has peas in a bottle cap so it makes a rattle! gonna send it to my expecting sister!)

Infusion pouch: Cinnamon, Mint, Wild Flowers and Citrus.

I don't remember if I shown you those:

Potatoes, with one that can be cut and one that unpeel.

Last time I bought Pizza I asked for an extra box Smiley ! Got some difficulties making the crust, next time it'll be slices so it'll be easier...

close-up

and finally, Apples! 4 of them. + 2 slices...
will be doing 2 more and put some velcro so it holds as a whole apple.
I'm totally in love with that color, btw

I constantly have new favorite!

269  Caffeine Molecule Cozzy in Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 10, 2009 05:12:13 PM
I made this for my lovely boyfriend:

Saw some on etsy =tags&includes[]=title]here. Told myself I could easily do it

Mine is actually way simpler then hers; All I did was cut the right size according to the cardboard cup I had on hands (a small btw). I blanket stitched the side with brown threat and I embroidered this image found out of google. It really pleased my geeky lover!
As for the Velcro, it has sticky back, so no need to sew!

270  Yesterday's batch in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Mamaneedles on: November 10, 2009 05:06:37 PM
Yesterday was all about breakfast! I made a sliced bread and some eggs, to go with the bacon.

At least I could digest those egg! I'm intolerant to real ones Sad

I'm still unsatisfied by my round eggs!.. So I'm not showing those!
