Loving the various ATC's, I think I need to try my hand at some!
All the Cabinet of Curiosities things are great, I Want them all in my house, but not after dark.  Wink

I have been lacking motivation, but I have forced myself to make some things and be productive!

1) Crocheted hat for my coworkers newborn.

2) Hoopla for my husband as a Valentine's gift, the words are from a letter I gave him before we started dating 7 years ago cause he couldn't figure out I had a crush on him.  Cheesy

Then, I have been loving all the clay projects and really want to learn all of the secrets to making such beautiful things, so I whipped out my teeny stash of clay and played around.

3) Fairy Door

4) Khoshekh the Levitating Cat from the podcast Welcome to Night Vale. The story is Khoshekh is a cat that levitates 4 ft from the floor in the men's bathroom of the radio station, and I modeled him after some fanart. He now lives in my bathroom on top of an outlet that is 4 ft. from the floor.

This is making me realize I should build a light box for pictures, cause my apartment is dark!

cmouse01- love all the stitch markers, definitely need to add those to my list so I stop using bobby pins Cheesy

Goktrose, your pan holders look good, especially the first one because it's colorful. I am wondering how you use them. Do you leave them on the handle while cooking?

yoopidou, I used cotton yarn so it is supposed to stay on the whole time you cook on the stove and it will be fine. Definitely a complete no-no to use acrylic though, then you'd have quite a melty yarn mess!

Haha love that sign DncingDreamer! It is great that your family have inside jokes that make such great gifts!

I also love all the yarnie goodness on here! You all knit/crochet/weave so fast! It inspired me to pull out my yarn and get some crocheted projects going.

I made 3 pot holders, two of the green and white for myself and one red, white, and blue for my mom. We both love our cast iron pans, but we also have a bad habit of grabbing the handles while cooking, so I had told her I was making them and she requested one as well!  Grin

I got the pattern from here and it is super easy and wips up in an hour, so I am just gonna count all three as one project.

Also, after the other draft stoppers by fluffypants and Kookaloo_Starr I decided to try to make my own since my front door had a huge gap under it.

Also, I realized that with my two earring pairs and my letter signs I met the challenge for January, woo!

Thanks for the feedbackguys! Yea, my boss is sort of the worst, only been there two months and already seeking a new job. -.-

Can I just point out that we are already nineteen days into January! I looked down at the date in the corner of my screen and was really shocked! Everyone has already done so much though.

dewshinesdopp, I hope I can channel you and get to some organizing. The weather is nice, so I almooossttt have the cleaning bug, but I am not quite motivated enough! Wink

O that teeny pond and those gorgeous dresses are simply wonderful! kookaloo, you make me want to really try my hand at sewing some clothes!

I have finished my first projects of 2015! I have been a bit blah lately, but I forced myself to ignore my blues and accomplish something during the last two weekends.

First, my dad tore a tendon on his tricep and had arm surgery, so I sent him a care package including this fleece heating pad filled with rice and earl gray tea.

Secondly, my supervisor likes to pound on his office window and hold up teeny signs with people's names written on them when he needs someone (which is verrryyy annoying). I am the closest one to his office but I also cannot read his signs so I made these paddles with the first initial of each of our names on them so we can clearly see who he wants.

Finally, I made myself two pairs of earrings from polymer clay, which I have always wanted to try. I haven't done much with polymer clay, but I am so happy that these came out to the correct size just by me hand rolling the clay and comparing it to other earrings!

Whew, caught up reading the 22 pages, and I hope to start on some crafting this weekend! Everyone's projects look great so far, off to a very creative and active start for 2015!

Also, to answer the bonus question my earliest crafting memory is between two. The first one is my grandma and I sitting in the livingroom of my old house when I was 5 and me helping her stuff a bunny doll she made me. I was mostly spreading the stuffing around on the floor as "snow" and I very clearly remember covering this bear figurine in it saying it was a sheep now! She also made a sunflower dress and embroidered a face on the bunny, which I found so impressive. It was so special to me, but now it is in my mom's house waiting to have an arm resewn after my little brother pulled it off years ago.

My other memory was in third grade. I wanted to enter my school's art fair, but didn't want to use any 2D medium like the others, cause I was always Ms. Unique as a little girl. So I asked my mom to help me sew a quilt. Me made a simple patchwork baby blanket, with the extra help of my grandma, on my little beginner sewing machine. I distinctly remember crying when my mom was trying tot teach me how to finish the last hole by hand since we sewed wrong sides together and turned the whole thing before basting. That may be why to this day I hate hand sewing with a passion. The blanket ended up with my pet bunny in her cage, which she loved for a few years before destroying. Cheesy

Haha I have a ton of empty giftcards I kept from my old job too, and up to now I have just been using them to scrape my hedgehogs cage when I clean it. This seems like a way more fun use!
