it's perfect!  I am super impressed with the zipper.

I wimped out and sewed snaps for mine.  Grin

Thanks! Wendee of Hazel Knits did a custom dye colorway for Bobbin's Nest Studio in Santa Clara.  When Bobbin's Nest had their wine and cheese party, I couldn't resist picking up the kit for the Moon River socks  Smiley

I'm trying to knit one pair of socks per month.  So far, I'm on track and here is my most recent pair--The Moon River Socks.  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/moon-river-socks  Had a hard time taking a good photo of the lovely cable.

The Hazel Knits artisan sock yarn is really wonderful.

4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Rowan's Patti-along on: October 08, 2007 08:15:06 AM
I got the pattern last week, and I am now debating whether to use the yarn in my stash (silky wool tweed) or else splurge and get the felted tweed.  Pro - using stash! instant cast-on!  Con - using discontinued yarn.  Clearly, I'm a nutter for not just casting on.  Tongue

I do have some concerns - the bustline, or whereabouts to put in the ridge.  I went to the store to try on on some trapeze blouses and I gotta say, even with my modest chest, so much pleating made me look like a balloon!

I've been fiending on this pattern for a week now.  Will need to order it (and the yarn) soon to join you all.

I finished my two tone shrug last weekend at Crater Lake:

I love it, even if it doesn't match anything Grin

I almost finished mine, also using cotton ease.  I love the cheery color combo you chose.  Mine is charcoal and taupe--so goth!  I'm doing the ribbing now and it just seems ennnnnnnnnnnnnndless.  Shocked

such a wonderful handpaint!!! You both did such a marvelous job with the yarn and the socks.

I love Veronik Avery's designs and just got her recent book.  Wonderful, of course.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Hello Yarn's Cable Twist Socks - w/Grumperina mods on: September 05, 2007 02:29:29 PM
thanks!  what I liked is that there weren't actually any cables!  It was a "left twist" and so no fiddling with a cable needle to get the faux cable result.  Grin
