Sounds weird, right? In my youth I followed the Grateful Dead around, so I'm pretty well-versed in most of the hippie arts (can't tie-dye worth a rats ass but other than that...) When I wasn't on the road I was living in a squat in the East Village. Love the whole DIY trip, the spirit and the people, just not THAT crazy about their music (and vice-versa, of course)
So, eventually I moved to Santa Cruz, had a kid, got married, moved to Fla, had another kid,(things were ok and then they weren't so) got divorced and moved back to NYC...
anyway I'm in another phase of life I guess. I'm 43, but still feel 24, My kids are back in Fla now living with their dad. I have a great boyfriend who's pretty crafty himself and who builds computers, etc. I have recently relocated to Port Jervis, NY
lately I'm embroidering alot. for a while it was drawing, before that sewing, I do great applique and patchwork. These days I'm finding the whole vintage pin-up thing suits me, and I dig retro kitchen stuff. Ok that's it.
