I love it!  The style of your painting and the colors you chose fit perfectly with the original, ahem, artwork.  Great attention to detail, too, with all the little fires and smoke scattered around.  Great job!

Thank you so much! The fight needed a background of destruction to set the mood, lol. Cheesy

I had found one of those cheap, printed photos on a wooden base at goodwill sometime ago and thought that it could use some sprucing up. I am honestly obsessed with the idea of a t-rex vs an octopus. I'm sorry for not having a before picture... Just imagine the piece without the destruction and chaos! The picture itself was around $3.00 and the paint is Folk Art acrylic paint. Smiley

Here are some detail shots -

I used a wet brush to run the ink on the original picture to make it look a bit more worn. Overall, I was really pleased with the effect.

C & C is definitely welcome! Smiley

I love how you placed the elements together. I am glad you found the scissors charm in the end, it is a wonderful piece. Weird question, what kind of glue did you use on the stone?
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: What Could Possibly Protect an Elixir, Better than a Dragon? on: May 20, 2012 02:06:36 PM
The turquoise and ice blue water dragon is my favorite of them all. I love the metallic look of your dragons. Did you use metallic clay or treat them somehow? Awesome work!

Such detailed work! I really enjoyed seeing the improvement picture. The bead detail is a stroke of brilliance and really completes the screwdrivers. I am really inspired by your whole post! Cheesy

The fawns are incredibly sweet. I am torn on the rats because normally rats make my inside squirm, but yours are so good and cute!

I admire your stitching! I can never get my stitches that neat. Love the first fox and the monster. All so cute! How big are they?

You have some mad skills. I am echoing a previous sentiment in saying I would have never guessed the base was a pony. Good to know you can bake on the clay without melting the base, I had been wondering about this myself for a while.  Cheesy Amazing work!
