1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / makeup brush roll on: May 15, 2010 09:50:20 AM
So, this is my first post here in this forum, but not on Craftster and I made this awhile ago but thought I'd share Smiley Since Jan (when I made it) I've gotten quite a few more brushes and reorganized my makeup collection so I think I'll be making a new one to fit with my new brushes Smiley
rolled up Smiley

closeup on my horrid stitching. I'm still an uber noob at this sewing stuff and when I tried to do the ribbon as the tie to close the roll I ended up stitching it in wrong (right sides together, flip inside out, wrong sides stiched---AGHHHH) I'll master it soon hopefully.

open. without brushes

open. with brushes: it fits one mascara, a variety of brushes, tweezers, spooly, plus eyeliners Smiley

I used just scrap pieces of cloth (I actually think this is a pair of my brother's pj pants.) and followed the tutorial from SecretLifeOfABioNerd (who btw, I absolutely adore)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmbkwgV4Rb0

Next time I'm gunna make it bigger and perhaps put a flap so it'll protect the brushes from each other.

C/C welcome!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / bead loom removal on: August 28, 2009 01:09:07 PM
Hey all,

I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong spot. Its my first one.

I've been making a pendant on a bead loom and got stuck on how to finish it off. I've done looms before (been at it since I was a kid) and back then I didn't mind just braiding it and tying a knot... But I wanted this piece and perhaps pieces for the future, to be more clean cut and professional. I wanted to wear it to a show this week (going to see the Jersey Boys!! so excited  Grin)

Any suggestions would be really appreciated!!

So far I'm leaning towards this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp2JQoLXuGM
But I'm hoping someone has another idea.

Thanks craftsters!
