1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitted Octopus on: March 31, 2007 12:46:37 AM
Oh my.  I had no idea that so many people have knit octopuses.   Here's my version.   The body of the octopus is from Jess Hutchison's Spherey pattern.   I designed the tentacles and inserted pipe cleaners so he's fully posable.  I think he turned out quite nicely.

I swear he's not a hexapus...there are two more legs in the back.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: A Series of Cautionary Tales or What NOT to Do in Knitting on: August 31, 2006 07:20:13 PM
Oh!  Your Bob Barker purse is awesome.   This post was great....  I was just thinking the other night that someone should write a knitting manual (or maybe a webpage, even) filled with cautionary advice.   But something with examples and delightful anecdotes.  and *poof* this post appears.  Excellent.

The panta is pretty similar to the first one you wanted.    I believe the directions are on the 2nd or 4th page.

So I'm not entirely done.  I have to french knot eyes and add seeds to the strawberry.   I think it turned out pretty neat.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / More panta, more of the time! on: November 08, 2005 10:11:11 PM
Here's my panta.   They knit up so fast!!!  I'm going too make a bunch more   I can't stop wearing mine and I can't stop saying the word, "panta".  It sounds so much cooler than "headband".

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Knit Robot on: November 04, 2005 12:15:48 AM
That's great!!  I also bought the book....and need only to buy some eyes to complete my robot.   Did you use size 5 or 5mm?   I used the recommended size 8 needles...and he's really too loose.   One day...i'm going to start gauging before i start.....
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lite Brite coffee table! on: October 06, 2005 09:34:02 PM
I've changed mine a bunch of times.  The trick is having the glass/plexi-glass cut slightly smaller than usual...so you're able to remove it.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My lite brite table! on: September 28, 2005 08:39:19 PM
While it's been done many times before, I really want to show off my table.  I'm so proud.   May I suggest glass (1/4" thick) for the top?  It's so much nicer than the plexiglass.  It looks class-y!
