She will make a TON of $$ for the movie rights to her prison story. Don't you know it.

This is something I'm imagining, have not heard anything, but really, that has great potential.
12  UNITED STATES / Florida / Alachua County Florida - recycle/reuse on: January 03, 2005 04:01:05 PM
Here in my county, there are several collection centers. They are for garbage, and also anything good enough to be reused. AND hazardous waste- paint, etc. You can stop by one any time and pick up anything you see in the recycle/reuse areas- free! That includes all the free paint you want! Also a great way to give away stuff you don't have the heart to throw out.

You name it, and I have seen it or gotten it there, furnished half my house. People toss good stuff all the time. I've even sold some of it.

I think Alachua County should be an example for everywhere else!
13  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Coffee Tins, Glass Jars, Plastic Containers on: December 28, 2004 06:07:18 PM
This is something I thought of from reading all YOUR great ideas... You know those short coke cans? Probably 8 oz. I never buy them (overpriced), but would buy enough to make this. I would, will, maybe, get as many different brands as I can. Take the tops off with a can opener, fill with water & freeze, poke holes and connect somehow (figure that out later) to the large type Christmas lights. This would be so cool outdoors for parties!!  You could probably with tin snips, cut a slot in the tops for the lights, and not have to take the tops off. Would probably have to snip a larger hole for the light first. You could use regular 12 oz cans, but I think the small ones would be so much cuter. I would poke LOTS of holes in the cans and use colored lights.

I love all the great ideas here and this site is wonderful!!!

Awesome idea for the trees in plastic containers with cement! You could take the containers off when it's hard, then spread more cement on the sides, and decorate! Put some of top, and add grass, or whatever! When I do thiese 2 great ideas, I will be sure to post pix.
14  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 1000 Keys on: December 27, 2004 09:16:25 PM
What to do with that pickle jar full of keys!?!? car keys, house keys, motel keys, handcuff keys and many more types, big and small. If anyone has any ideas, please, I would love to hear them. Once I made a windchime using steel rings and fishing line, everyone liked it, it was ok. I took it apart after awhile though.
15  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Glass microscope slides on: December 27, 2004 09:01:36 PM
I have hundreds and hundreds of glass microscope slides, 2"x2". I really need some ideas. I've had them longer than I can say.

  Grin hi everyone! I finally had to register here for this one. The only thing I've tried of Martha's (several times) was her "really simple" homemade marshmallows. Never did get it right.  Huh  {I aint no slouch either!!!}

Anyhow, I just heard on the news that Martha's group in prison did not win "best decorated door" for the holidays.  Cry

The last post made me laugh my derrier off, wish I had seen it. She is the ultimate control freak, and it's the height (or depth) in anal retentivity to measure your dough with a ruler! But I cannot imagine the massive ego it would take to do that to the guy. Even I am slightly shocked that Martha would do that! She really needs to lighten up and have fun. Martha? If you're reading this, it's more fun not to use a ruler, and it even looks really cool when your dough strips are not all uniform. And it's quicker! I do like ya though, dunno why, but I do.
