I love the matching Rosie Scarf! Next time I do this babydoll top/dress, I will def go up a size on the upper bust cuz it is tight.

...and it has boning in six places...i used plastic zip ties...lol...i am SO making another one of these corset tops next. I have some material in mind for the contrast panels on the stomach. And I need to modify the bust near the armpits to be tighter.

54  I recon'd a Dickies Workshirt into Psychobilly Hotness in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Psycho Sue on: August 24, 2009 07:01:37 AM
I bought the patches from various online places. The "Creepshow" back patch is maniacally awesome. The name tag says "Bunny" and there is a pink bat hanging from the pocket underneath a banner that says "horrror hottie. The shirt I shortened into a jacket, and it goes great over a man's fitted tank. I finished the edges with hot pink jig jag stitch, and added studs to the collar, and viola...my own personal badass betty jacket  Cheesy

YAY! I am basking in the loves from ya'll!

I shall share the pattern number! Glad to help out curvy billy-girls! It is a discontinued pattern, though not too hard to find: Simplicity 4242. It is hard to find patterns that will work for this technique, but this one is fantastic. It can work for others but I think you will have to add fabric to make enough room to keep the picture in the center. I have done that a few times making these tops, just cuz the pic was centered too high on the T shirt. Like I said though, You can always engineer you fav T shirt design into the front piece of any pattern...just takes some tweeking!

here are the backs:

56  My various Psychobilly T recons ~evil shirts rock~ in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Psycho Sue on: August 20, 2009 05:41:09 AM
I have been doing this b/c T shirts are too small and unflattering on me. I have a simplicity pattern that works pretty well for this. It is a corset cut shirt pattern with a back, front and side piece. I use the T to cut the front and back piece, then cut the side piece out with a coordinating fabric..Here goes:

this one says "zombie outbreak response team"

57  Dress/Top from cherry fabric in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Psycho Sue on: August 19, 2009 10:55:56 AM
I made a few things that I am crazy about lately. The top is a burda pattern and the dress is the simplicity project runway edition pattern. I have been experimenting with merging a smaller bust with a larger hip, and I think I have the technique down now Tongue Sorry about the links, since I am new I am not allowed to post pics yet.
