1  Re: Reduce Reuse Recycle Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by CraftyDeJa on: March 22, 2010 02:23:00 PM
OK, this picture is not the best. Replaced old camera and still having issues so I have to use my cell phone. Therefore, you probably won't get a good view of all the fabulous things I received from Miss Barbara.

The package included:
    A plarn bag
A jewelry holder and a rock pendent
Crochet items: scarf, wreath and bath mitt
Paper goods: Recycling book, recycled craft article and bumper sticker
    A bank
    A mini sewing kit
    A milk jug bowl

Whew, did I miss anything Miss Barbara??

BTW, your package will arrive in two parts because one item did not fit in the box ... lol. Again, my apologize for the delay in posting.

2  Decoupage project in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by CraftyDeJa on: November 22, 2009 06:13:23 PM

This is something I came up with one day while I was sorting through some of my fabric scraps.

Please give me your feedback. Does the picture make sense to you or am I the only one who gets it?? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Oh, it is a Christmas gift ... but plan to make some more!!

3  Simple yet Elegant Centerpiece in CHALLENGE 42 ENTRIES by CraftyDeJa on: September 03, 2009 05:30:40 PM
First, let me say the I loved many of the entries!! Based on a couple entries I hope I didn't misunderstand the rules as I thought major components had to come from the Dollar Store (didn't know I could use recycled items too). Project might hae been a little different. Oh well, I am very pleased with what I came up with. Here is the first photo of my creation. Sorry for the glare from the sun.

My components were: 1 wine glass
1 votive holder (but use a tealight),
                              a few glass marbles
                              a few white rose petals
                              1 champagne bottle decoration.

These items cost me $5 BUT this amount did NOT go into the project ... did not use all of the marbles or petals AND the bottle decoration was free because the groom "outfit" was missing.

Also, put in my own tealight so you could see how it looks when it is lit up (next photo) ..... SIMPLE YET ELEGANT. I hope you all agree!

The only other item used was a little epoxy to hold the votive holder in place and a little hot glue to add the bottom decoration.
