This is the 5th quilt that I have actually finished. I took me about three days, which I was grateful for because I was in a little time crunch for my friends baby shower. I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out, except I really need to work on my binding abilities. The big plus is I used all flannel fabrics so the blanket it super comfy and warm.  Grin

Close up on the fabrics.

I thought a little love patch was needed!

Sorry for my lack of abilities to post pictures Undecided Thanks for Looking!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Sweater Help on: August 22, 2009 07:50:30 PM
Okay so I've been knitting for some time now, but always stuck in my comfort zone with hats and scarves. I finally decided to go for it and try out a sweater, The "Boy-O-Boy" sweater in the 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders. So I knit the back to length and the last step says: "Place stitches on 3 holders: 18 stitches for each shoulder and 16 stitches for the neck."    Huh

I am a little confused.... am I supposed to cast off and then place the stitches on the holders? If I supposed to continue without casting off how do I start with the next section since I only have one ball of yarn?

Please help

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Baby Knit Patterns on: August 17, 2009 07:02:09 PM
Lately I have babies on the brain. I think between all my friends having babies and the husband and I getting ready to all I want to do is knit baby clothing, although I am having a rough time finding cute modern patterns.

Can anyone suggest a book or website or something to help me out?

Thanks!  Wink
