It's official. Saturday June 10 will be the next Craftacular, hosted by The Glitter Workshop and Emily Kircher, recycling artist. We haven't finalized the times yet, but we are getting the date out there to see what kind of interest is out there right now. We are getting many customer inquiries regarding this event, and are going to be utilizing the High Noon to it's max including the balcony and part of the outdoor patio.
Please let me know if you are interested in this event and I will be getting official applications up soon on our site, www.theglitterworkshop.com, and will have them available in the store (920 E. Johnson St., Madison, WI).
Thanks again to everyone who makes these possible. We're so excited to be continuing this growing tradition!
Join us Saturday and Sunday from 11-6 for the High Noon Craftacular at 701 E. Washington Ave (The High Noon Saloon). The bar will be open, there is absolutely no smoking anymore, and there will be great crafts from jewelry, to clothing, to handspun yarn, and everything inbetween!
We will also have great door prize donations you can sign up to win!
I would love to meet all you crafty ones out there! Come introduce yourself and show support for our Wisconsin craft scene.
p.s. there are a couple little spaces left in the balcony area. if anyone is interested, it is only $20 for the whole weekend! call or email me for more info. (608)255-2025 email@example.com
Hello all you interested in a craft show in Madison folks. Looks like I found a venue. It is the High Noon Saloon on E. Washington (the old buy and sell shop). I have not set an official date, but it's looking like the end of July. We're looking into having live music or a deejay, although they have some rockin music either way.
The smoking ban will be in place by then, so no worries on smoke damage to your goods.
I will be having an official application posted on our website soon (www.theglitterworkshop.com), but until then, feel free to contact me directly for more info or to apply.
We are starting to compile some ideas for classes and workshops that we would like to offer, now we need to find the bodies to help!
We are thinking of everything from knitting, crocheting, embroidery, to possibly jewelry making, decoupage.....kind of whatever!
There is lots of interest in classes and workshops here, and we have a great little space (that needs a little cleaning and sprucing up) to have them, but I need teachers.
What we can offer: each teacher will be responsible for the general outline of the class, although I will help as much as possible, compiling materials (if included with the cost of the class), and helping to to promote.
each teacher in turn, will keep 80% of all class fees, with payment up front to cover the cost involved with buying supplies, and will also receive help from the Glitter Workshop in advertising the class and promoting it.
you will also have freedom in scheduling times and lengths of classes.
Help us get the word out that everyone has a craftster inside of them, and with a great teacher, goodies to munch on, and hip company, everyone can become one.
Hi everybody. I am searching for some interested people who would be into a craft fair along the lines of Renegade, or Art vs. Craft, although on a bit smaller scale, right here in Madison.
This is still in the very planning stages, so right now it is still just brainstorming. In the near future I will setting up a meeting at The Glitter Workshop to go over some ideas, but for right now if anyone has any ideas at all as far as venues, times that may work well, etc., please let me know.
Jump on the planning committee while it is still just a twinkle in our eye!
I look forward from hearing ideas, and I will post a meeting date as soon as possible.
