2641  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Unplying two yarns and plying them together...? on: October 05, 2011 03:17:14 PM
You wouldn't have to spin them together. You could just separate the plies and then work them together, like using 2 balls of yarn. Just make sure they are neat when you start because it will suck if they get tangled.

Yeah, since we already have senders shouldn't we have a gallery too?

I'M SO IN! But not yet. My husband would kill me if I signed up for more swaps without getting even the kids costumes done. I will make those 2 (super easy, got the fabric and patterns, just need to start cutting!) and then, and only then, will I sign up. I might need a cheering section, though.

And I think they don't come in as huge a color assortment as Sculley (which can also be miss spelled as Skull-Pee since we are discussing strange mind tricks) Grin
YES THEY DO!! We can tell how much time you spent in the "hygiene" aisle in college: none!

I'm not interested in joining, but I have to tell you that EVERY time I see the thumbnail picture for this swap I think it's a bunch of condom boxes. Kind of freaks me out. Just so you know!

Oh my! This sounds like so much fun! But I only have 1 swap spot left, waiting for feedback from 1, just sent out 1, and about to send out another 1 so... maybe I can get feedback fast! But what would I offer?

One was a personal swap that I've had in our living room for months and am glad to get out, even is I don't get anything in return. 2 were for this swap. 1 was a box of fabric for the Destash for Malawi project I'm participating in. 4 were for Swap bot, mostly small envelopes with like 4 sheets of stickers etc... and the last one didn't go out with the rest because I still need to make the undershirt and fedora for this monkey! Was going to before I went to the PO but like I said... "kids with infections..."

Way rad! Lime is right, they're all so different but cohesive as a book. Like a real book!: all the pages are different but they have a story to tell. How big is it?

I just finished filling a box and man, it is a lot lighter than I thought it would/should be but if I shove any more in there it will get all bloated and the guys at the PO won't like me. Hm... off to stuff what I can into the other box! Then hopefully I can finish this monkey tonight and send all 9 packages away tomorrow. Yay! And only 8 are for swaps *maniacal laughter* Oh joy, Swap-Bot and Craftster combined...
