2581  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Rd. 7 (signups Sept. 12-Oct 1.; sendouts Dec. 1) on: September 21, 2011 07:52:50 AM
I'm really not in a hurry for SUs to end. I just finished one swap and now I am down to only having one Craftster swap to craft for and I think I would like to focus on that for the next week and a half. I hate it when I get too many swaps up and I get confused (pregnancy brain) so... wait, where was I going? Oh yeah, I need to make some monkey goodies before I can think about stalking stockings for this swap.

Of course, that 1 swap I'm in doesn't include the 8 I'm signed up for on Swap-Bot. Yeah, they're mostly just PC swaps but lately I've been quilting all my postcards so...

I got a little pedal happy today, and maybe a little batting happy, and f***! I forgot to add a gerbil! Crap. I thought I was done, over done, way spoiling, but crap, I forgot the gerbils. Bah! So much for sending out tomorrow. Mmmm... Miracle Whip... haven't had that in a long time... Wait, did I lose track again? Stupid ads... What was I saying? Gerbils? What?

It's only been a week since SOs, not everyone has even sent yet I bet! There are other hoopla swaps if you need to curb your appetite. Doesn't matter to me, I think I'll be sitting out the next round, don't feel up to par, but still, why the rush? Oh wait, I was like this the last couple rounds, wasn't I?

Hurray for revisiting old swap monsters!

My partner should have received last week but hasn't replied to my messages and hasn't posted yet. Oh noes! Did she not like the package? I am worried.

Someone told me should enter my yarn into the fair but I have no idea how.
WOW! Ribbons! So many!
Any way we could get  a picture of just the yarns? I see them, but not very well, and I think they would make me happy.

Oh, and I sell yarn at the farmer's market and there are SO MANY people who think my hanks are necklaces or something like that instead. I always tell them Yeah, you could use it as that if you want (since I do myself for a while after I finish a new skein, only around the house though, so far) but that's not the intended purpose. And so many other people stop with the "Ooh, pretty, what is this mystery?" look on their faces and then I say that it's yarn and they drop it and walk away. WHAT?! People are crazy.

4 balls of yarn alter I have already gone over what we agreed on and I haven't even been able to find the right fabrics in my stash for the potholders. I think I'm over compensating because the colors aren't quite right. Too much _____!

I also had a question, do all the goodies have to fit inside the stocking? If they are bigger, are they considered extras?

Mine rarely fit in the stocking (maybe 3 or 4 items, tops) - the only exception is the year I did an EXTRA large stocking (about 2 or 3 times the size of a traditional stocking) and almost everything fit in there!
But Stacy Sews is just awesome. And should do it again. And should be my partner this time Wink
Actually, I don't know if I could live up to her awesomeness. Pay no attention to this comment, organizers!

Here's what I sent to Crafty Gurll. She is too busy to post her own so I thought I would help out. She has a DotD collection so I thought this would fit. Look closely, the mouth is actually a pocket, inspired by the hungry Nomster swap.

Lime's hoop is great. It could totally be made into a clock, well, if you ruined the wording. Sad But there are 12 icons on there, you gotta admit that would be great!

Yu guys are all kick-ass rock stars, look at you go. We didn't have market last week (pinata festival?) so I didn't get anything spun until today, at the market, but I did make $100 which is about $80 more than usual AND an invite to spin at a local fall festival next month. Woohoo! Inspiration to get my fleece clean! More inspiration: Belldune's pictures. It's a total "Your fleece could look like THIS" commercial for me, I just don't know how to wash it lock by lock. Maybe I should look that up, you know, since I can't take Master Spinner classes.

Bella, you and your bracelet yarn! Silly lady. I do agree, though, that black and white from LL should NOT be turned into anything but worn as it is. It's marvelous! I will wear it. Hey, give it to me. Wink

Puppygirl, nice. I find it's harder for me to spin singles on the wheel, though every time I use a spindle I make super singles. Just a thought. Stupid school, keeping you from spinning...

I agree, I woldn't mind petting a dirty Santa either...  Shocked

ETA: Sorry bout the horrid spelling today, you guys. You have no idea how many things I had to fix and it still came out like that. Ug. Stupid pregnancy brain (real medical term, I promise)
