23  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Starbucks Bothwell Street Big Knit (or crochet) for Kidney Kids Scotland on: June 26, 2014 08:16:01 AM
I managed to use up a few balls of yarn without having to weave in ends. WOAH! I just held the end of the last one over the end of the new and worked them together. Would that work for knit like it does for crochet? I really like those stripes, AIMR.

ETA I sent a box on Monday that had about 4 feet (maybe) and some extra yarn.
24  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Trip to the Mermaid Parade (a two-wheeled seafaring homage to Georges Melies) on: June 26, 2014 07:11:02 AM
Super dooper awesome. I should make myself a skirt like that. Very much adore the references, though that video scared the crap out of my in like 6th grade! The moving waves are super cool.
25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Daisy - stitch sampler and colour wheel on: June 25, 2014 08:34:04 AM
um, super rad. Thanks for sharing all of these with us. This looks like a great exercise in both stitchery and patience.
26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing Pinterest Swap on: June 25, 2014 08:11:03 AM
OK, so I'm hearing a resounding YES let's bring back the OPS. And not really into the theme thing, but definitely people should post if they want special things for other people/holidays in their bios. Should we go for July or should I hold off until August? Also, was the giveaway ever really a draw for anyone? I can't really afford to do them anymore. I know sometimes we had offers and other people would step up for that but I never really got into it like the previous organizers did.
27  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: April 2014 Ongoing Pinterest Discussion and Gallery on: June 23, 2014 12:45:34 PM
Ooh, I forgot to comment on those last few great packages. Those coasters look like fun and also look like a good idea for sampling some machine stitching. *idea!* What a cute dragon! I would have had a hard time giving that away, too. Good job, you guys.

A discussion is up about a next round. If you guys want in and want a voice in what goes on, go say something! Totally cool with reworking the swap, letting it die, passing on the buck to someone else to organize, or just working it as always. I just need input! Go now!
28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ongoing Pinterest Swap on: June 23, 2014 12:42:20 PM
So I organized the OPS for a while but it was kind of dying so I took a break. Here is the last round in case you don't know what's up with that. Some people said they would still be interested in it again after a little while. Would July be a good time to start it back up or should I wait another month or more? Would it be more interesting if each month there was a theme, like "Pinterest for my SO" or "Pinterest for Christmas" or something like that? Is it worth reviving at all?
29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Half-a-hoopla on: June 23, 2014 12:36:30 PM
This actually sounds really fun, but I don't have any input on it.
ETA: Would the hoop returned to the original partner or would it be for keeps? I think it would be fun to make the 1/2, send it, and get it back with their interpretation.
30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: French Knot Color Wheel on: June 23, 2014 12:27:01 PM
So much fun. Frenchies are the best! You did a great job, very densely packed indeed.
