1771  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Monster Ninni Swap Gallery (MAIL BY 6/13/11) on: June 27, 2011 12:07:32 PM
But what is he saying?

I made another Ninni the other day for a Swap-bot swap and I was going to post a pic here but forgot to take one before I boxed it up! Oh noes! It was really cute though, I made it for "Stay Out of the Sun Day" in July so he is all white with little pink Rosy cheeks! I am so sad I don't have a picture of him Sad

Nothing to share but I do have thoughts!

Hippie: Love that "Bloomin'" because it's amazing. I've been on a jaded streak, not wanting to look at fiber lately, but I think if you keep posting you might break it. SO... Don't get sick again because you make me happy!

Calluna, have you posted some of this somewhere else? I think I remember it but don't remember. Either way, it looks like a lot of fun. I'm saving all my single scraps for some funky yarn way down the road. Doubt it will be this cool, not planning on using commercials.

Charaxesdistanti: that sounds like ti would be a really soft blend but it doesn't look so soft. Maybe it's he colors? You are causing my brain to explode.

well I'm out, the Canadian postage strike doesn't look like it will end soon now that negotiations have broken off. worst summer ever!! I'll be stalking the gallery though and maybe there will be a round two in the future I can get in on!
Or craft along with us, post your work in the gallery. You can still be "in" the swap without having a partner, right?
1775  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Ongoing spin-along! (or fiber stash busting event!) on: June 24, 2011 10:10:06 AM
I think I am ready to take the step of getting a wheel.

I have a question for everyone still lurking: What do you like spinning with the most and why?

You asking what fiber or spindle/wheel?

As for my goal this month I think I already mentioned all my fiber goals are finished, but I still need to make tags for the stuff I want to sell at the market next Saturday. Did anyone else make their goals for the month?
1776  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Video Game Swap (send-outs 7/26) on: June 24, 2011 07:25:49 AM
I'm liking all these videos, though maybe I shouldn't have left the baby in the crib that long...

Lime always out-does herself. Is there a little pocket on there to hold the extra months? How does that work? And there is a "31" too, right? *wink, wink*

1779  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Hoopla Round 6 Ideas! on: June 23, 2011 08:00:24 AM
The mix and match idea sounds cute. I wont be joining this time, I was flaked on the last 2 hoopla swaps so I wont be doing anymore but I'll definatly stalk the gallery.

I promise to be an awesome partner! I won't flake on you (because that's just rude!) and I'll send something I know you'll like! I promise! Grin
come on, join this round, and you and I can be partners, and no flakers. Wink
It is perfectly acceptable to request a certain partner on the Questionnaire, or so I've heard...
1780  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sheep to Shawl Challenge! on: June 22, 2011 02:07:25 PM
Well Poo on Belladune! I am technically making a sweater so it doesn't count, BUT I am still excited about it. I'm going to finish crocheting it and dye it and add it to the Spun to Finished thread. And THEN I can start on this challenge. Sadly, though, I am going to need to spin more for my sweater first. But that's OK too because I spun it really fast and lumpy. I think the next project I may actually comb the fleece and go for consistency. I already know the pattern I will use too, so not too bad if I say so myself.
