1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bubble Bobble lapghan on: April 01, 2012 06:53:45 PM
It took me about three weeks to complete this for my hubbin. Its from the NES game Bubble Bobble which he and I both enjoy a lot.

I am absolutely ecstatic about the way it turned out. It is slightly lopsided (in my opinion), but that gives it that hand-made feel. It is also larger than it appears in the photo. It is about 4ft x 4ft.

C&C appreciated, as always!

I am so absolutely thrilled the way these turned out.

Sculpy and acrylic and a love of Star Wars =

Enjoy!

They actually are a lot more polished now that I've given them a second coat of paint, but I couldn't wait to show them off!

C/C Appreciated.

EDITED: Much better photo.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / West Virginia map on: November 16, 2010 07:32:37 AM
Hi all!

I'm looking for information on mapping a crochet pattern. I want to make a scarf with the outline of WV on it, and I know its going to be difficult due to all the bumps and curves, but I have no idea where to begin to simplify it for myself.

Does anyone have any advice?

Oh, here is the image I am working with.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Franken-pants (Little Image Obese) on: February 19, 2010 05:09:02 PM
I found an old pair of sleeping pants that I never finished and since I am on a yoga kick right now I altered them slightly and came up with:

FRANKENPANTS!

Close-up of the fabric and the optional pockets:

And I know this belongs in reconstructed, but I really don't want to make a new post; using TkRainy's tute herehttp://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299282.0, I carved up an old WV Lottery T-shirt and made the unexpectedly comfy:

The random fabric waistband:

I would appreciate any feedback, as this is my first SUCCESSFUL attempt at any kind of bottom!
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / I love my octopus! on: February 18, 2010 08:02:00 PM
Out of boredom and a surplus of Red Heart Super Saver comes:

Monsieur Octopus, my very first ami!

I love him, even though he only has four legs:

All single crochet with adorable black button eyes.

Would love to hear what you all think at my first crochet stuffie attempt!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Many stitches, a few colors...comfiest scarf! on: January 31, 2010 06:07:57 PM
Me avoiding homework=

I used single, double, half double, front and back-post double crochet, Caron and Homespun yarn in grey, blue, and dark blue.

Very soft and VERY comfy, and my boyfriend's mother loves it!
C&C appreciated!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A few trinkies. on: January 12, 2010 06:23:54 PM
Got bored this evening waiting for my boyfriend to get home from work, so I got out the ole Sculpy and made some charms Smiley

Mini piano:

Wearing:

I call this guy Ferigno.
I forgot to make him a hole for the string, so I am planning on making him either a pin or a magnet:

A necklace made for my boyfriend, it means "Knowledge":

They aren't great, since I just made them out of boredom, but I like them!
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My first (set of) mittens! on: November 21, 2009 11:54:56 PM
I always have a problem with mittens. I make one...and then lose interest. I have at least 4 separate mittens laying around my room with no mates. So while my boyfriend and his brother were sitting around playing video games, I made these, using this pattern: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=325086.0

The color is way off in the pics. They are actually maroon and white:

The thumbs are horribly misshapen, and a little tight, but I love them anyways.

They fit my hand oh so perfectly!

Enjoy, and comments are always lovely.
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Slouchy hat and chain scarf on: November 17, 2009 01:02:42 PM
I am enrolling in crochet-aholics.

An awesome slouchy hat based on thishttp://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=328064.0 pattern, omitting the "lacey"-ness. And I have to say THANK YOU to AprilDraven for the end of that pattern, I have been trying to figure out how to do trim like that for AGES.

This could be my most favorite creation to date.

Wearing it around campus, wind in mah hair!:

A chain scarf, based on Nomsa's idea here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=292580.0

VERY warm.

I apologize for the horrid look on my face in this one, but its a much better angle.

Comments and criticism appreciated, as always.
